If we are being honest the way things were going for Diaz, that was a stupid challenge to take the bat out of the hands of Walker, who homered last time. If we are being honest.
The ball hit straight at you, in front or over your head, is the worst ball. There's a second+ there where you have no ****ing idea how well it's hit...then you turn into fullblown run-like-hell recovery mode
I don’t really get what they’re doing with Hummel. He can only really play LF (not well), doesn’t provide any baserunning value, and the bat has been awful. In theory he switch hits and can be an emergency catcher I guess? I like Trammell out there. Power, speed, lefty bat and can play the whole OF.
Who’s playing CF…. Then who’s playing SS…. Then who’s playing 3B? They don’t really have a lot of options right now. If Dubon somehow gets hurt, they’re on the verge of needing to forfeit a game. (I guess you’re vouching for the defensive replacement lineup they have in now…. Which is also a testament to what they think of CMC vs. Hummel as far as ability to hit a baseball goes…)
Remember the good old days when the only question we asked was "who's pitching today?" Ahh, good times, good times
Loved how King low key (sweeper) hit Randy Arozoarena after 2 outs. Astros need to throw at another batter before game ends
Wasn't intentional I don't think(?), but if you're gonna hit a guy that's the exact pitch and location you hit him with.
I get it — we’re rostering Zach Short and Jon Singleton too at the moment. And they’re playing Shay Whitcomb, who seems to be break glass in case of emergency option for Dana Brown. I’ve just seen enough of Hummel to say I’d probably rather see some other AAAA option (we’re out of them in our system) off the free agent pile . I mean, Jason Hayward was released a few weeks ago.
