If Meyers doesn't return, then CF becomes the weakest area of this team.

If he does return, then its the 2B/LF position that Altuve is not occupying.

However, Dubon at 2B especially when Framber or Brown start and/or vs a lefty starter is perfectly solid.

Similarly, if Altuve is at 2B, then Dubon is not a disaster in CF, especially vs a lefty starter.

The problem is that the team needs to bring in a bat in order for the run production to absorb Dubon starting. He is fine ANYWHERE if he is the 9th best hitter in the lineup but not if he is thev7th or 8th best.

That is why I feel a bat is more of a priority over a starting pitcher.

    Nice post.

They may really like Arrighetti. In order for the Astros to give him up though, they need to be very confident in Javier and Garcia.

Still, I would do it because adding Duran helps this team way more than losing Arrighetti hurts it.

    Pena
    Paredes
    Yordan
    Altuve
    Duran
    Smith
    Diaz
    Walker

Is a hell of a foundation to a good offense.

If Duran can play some CF and Meyers/Dubon can share that #9 spot for 2 more years I'm very happy.

They are two separate trades. Astros/Reds and Astros/Pirates.

Better than "pretty well". I had no idea he was really that good with the glove.

But yeah, Rogers was nice dice-roll to take given the situation. Didn't work.

I agree a bat should be the priority

    Unless

The pitcher is playoff starter quality. And while I agree Crane doesn't want to go over the CBT, he would for the right guy

You are correct on your concerns. Cruz will never live up to any contract he signs. It's been written

Heaney has been awful since March/April. His two starts so far in July are horrendous.

    Bottled?

We've been under a "boil water notice" for all Marble Falls city water for the past 4 days (until 9am this morning)...because of all the flood waters pouring into the lakes (we get most of city water from the treatment plant on Lake Marble Falls)

Will be nice to take a shower later tonight.

    So we need

Baltimore, Minnesota, KC, Cleveland, Texas, Atlanta and Arizona to have a bad 10 days

Whether they specifically have players we want or not, the more of those teams on the fence decide to sell it will keep the prices from rising even higher

The thing that sucks about Phish, Dead, Allmans, whoever...

You google a song and you have to sort through about 97 live versions to find the actual song, studio (or specific live album), you want to hear

Orrrr the great thing is that - since they improvise and never play the same thing twice - you have the opportunity to explore and different versions and eras of your favorite tunes, forever discovering fresh new takes ad infinitum, thereby never allowing your awareness muscle to atrophy, thus maintaining an active state of the excerise of your ability to shift perspective in perpetuity?

Besides, from whom is it better to learn the art of being long-winded?

Arrighetti is going to be your number 3 when he gets back. It's Javier, mcculler, garcia, Walter, Gordon And gusto that I don't have faith in.
We need to get Morton and I'd be good to go.

"Let your life proceed by its own design." -- Robert Hunter

    ...

Sometimes I want to hear a song like I heard it on that album or that one time. Then it's just...meh. Sorry.
