His last start out he struck out 9 and gave up 0 ER to the Tigers. He's struck out 44 guys in 30.2 innings since returning and has a long enough track record to say it's very unlikely he doesn't pitch well the rest of season.
Agree with this. Winning 1 of 3 would mean they only gain 1 game on us and I'd be okay with that at this point in the season with all these injuries.
This is the answer. Hunter's velocity was down a tad this past start and was his second bad start in a row. He's thrown a lot of innings and I'm sure they are prioritizing keeping him fresh down the stretch over anything else right now. Edit: Well guess this isn't the case as they have moved Brown to Sunday and Framber is now pitching in Arizona. Snake is probably right about them aligning certain pitchers against teams.
I hate this idea (not Snake) Pitchers need a little xtra rest if they need rest, if not... the 1st series out of the ASB with a 5? game lead is not where you fajggle with the rotation for "matchup purposes" Let it play.
Cool, cheer for him I just said I hope he continues to give up runs I don't have him on a fantasy team, I don't want his team to catch the Astros, so the K's don't harm me as long as he is giving up runs
Hunter Brown and Framber Valdez match up with the Mariners way better than any of our other starters do. This much I know
...or maybe just let them rest and treat these games like all the others? You're not right, I'm not wrong.
Yes, what was I thinking Arizona could catch us just as easily as Seattle could And that extra one day rest this week will definitely pay off for Framber in October What was I thinking
Me having realistic expectations for what’s going to happen with him isn’t me cheering for him… I hope they all suck.
