Define human shield and show me evidence of them using human shields. For example, I can find a 2002 report from B'TSelem (an israeli human rights organization) or a Haaretz investigative report where they highlight the IOF's use of Palestinians as human shields but where is such evidence of the resistance doing so? Here's an article in the Guardian from 2005 where it goes over the israeli high court ruling of the army's long-standing practice of using Palestinian civilians as human shields in combat being illegal under international law. There's a horrifying report from the Defense for Children International where they describe the use of Palestinian children as human shields by the occupying army. Or the one from May 2023, months before Oct 7 (the day history started btw) where they used five Palestinian children as young as NINE YEARS OLD as human shields. How about the report published earlier this year from CBS where a member of the IOF army admitted that they were ordered to use Palestinians as human shields? There's also a New York Times article covering the same report. There's plenty of video and photo evidence as well. You're literally just repeating a hasbara talking point.
Human shield is when you position your military assets in such a way that you make it difficult or impossible to attack them without hitting civilians. The example I already provided. Where are the clearly designated Hamas military bases? If one were to make a lawful attack against a Hamas target, where would they drop the bomb?
That’s how you know it’s just a hasbara talking point. No evidence. No viable third party investigative reports. Just pure, adulterated state-sponsored propaganda and these elderly folks eat it right up. Good rule of thumb to live by: Every israeli accusation is a confession.
The silliest part about people who still use the human shield argument is that israel literally snipes children in the head on a frequent basis as confirmed by more than a dozen U.S. doctors. Imagine, the method of killing that requires the most precision and patience being used on the absolute least guiltiest and most vulnerable party involved. How twisted must you be to try and defend that? They’ve proved time and time again that they will indiscriminately kill civilians regardless of where they are located. The notion that they’re trying to kill around the civilians or having to kill through them has no ground.
You keep saying there is no evidence. The evidence is apparent. Where are the military bases that you would call legitimate targets? You pretending that this doesn't completely destroy your argument changes nothing.
The occupying army has a military protocol referred to as the Dahiya doctrine which aims to apply disproportionate force to civilians and civilian infrastructure in an attempt to pressure civilians to turn against their government. This term was coined in 2006 during their unsuccessful invasion of Lebanon but they began using this tactic as early as 1982 and continue using this strategy today all over the region. Again, the human shield argument (which no evidence has been provided for) is a dud when you consider the fact that the zionist regime deliberately targets civilians.
It is a simple question, the fact that you cannot answer it is all the answer in the world. Where are the Hamas military bases that you would consider legitimate military targets.
Again, if the military has no fear of hitting unarmed civilians under any circumstances then this entire argument is nullified. They do it intentionally. They snipe children in the head. The israeli murder machine is indiscriminate.
This doesn't mean anything other than an old man goes soft. There was a ceasefire, Hamas broke it knowing full well thousands of Palestinians would get killed, and Israel has the right to do what it takes to prevent this from happening again. And it will keep happening if they give in to international pressure like it always has.
