Glad Texas never has explosions or natural disasters.

Texas City is home of the biggest industrial accident in US history and a couple of miles off the coast is home of the largest natural disaster and I know this thread is a few months old but it looks ridiculous considering the July 4th floods

Ehh I don't know about that.

I won't give Democrats all the credit for the strong and robust economy, and I am also not going to give them blame for all of the negatives.

Crime is California has actually gone down, and violent crime is the lowest it has been in like 60 years.

Economically California is in a pretty good situation and has bounced back from the pandemic, the GDP growth rate was like 7% a year the last I checked.

There are issues in California, it is very expensive in the most desirable areas - there are severe housing shortages and wealth inequality is genuine.

Having said that - California is the United States most successful and powerful state and that isn't changing anytime soon. It really isn't close either. People that cannot afford to live in California have moved to other states the last 4-6 decades - places like Arizona and Las Vegas have had former Californians move there for affordability, and now Texas and Florida have seen their share. It is just the nature of the situation. Texas and Florida are successful states, especially Texas - but not like California is.

It certainly isn't a hell hole, but it is economically difficult.

I can't speak to every part of your analysis, but as someone who practices criminal law in California, I can tell you that the violent crime rate is not the lowest it's been in 60 years. That's just not true.

Violent crime is lower in CA and elsewhere than it was 60 years ago - perhaps that's what you meant. But it's considerably above pre-pandemic levels and above where it was when Prop 47 passed. Rate is 491 (per 100k pop) vs 397 in 2013. If you think it's at historic lows, you've been misled.

As usual, you spew partisan garbage.

California has the 4th largest economy in the world and is a significant donor state, contributing billions more to the federal government than it receives back, unlike most states that are net recipients of federal funds.

Sorry - murder rate is the lowest since 1966, and crime is falling an average of 4% from last year.... I had to double check it, I knew I heard it on Fox News of all places.

Tell me you don’t live in the United States without telling me you don’t live in the United States.

Parts of LA have traffic, driving on the 5 sucks, rent is high, and there are a lot of Botox lips but it’s undeniable that Cali is one of the most beautiful stretches of earth on this planet. You ever consider the fact that it’s expensive to live somewhere because a lot of people actually want to live there?? Or do you no longer believe in supply and demand?
