I liked Australia better. Sort of like having Americans living with the economic confidence and security that the Nordics have. You can feel it when the Seven Eleven clerks have good wages, vacations and healthcare.

There are plenty of studies that show IQ by country -- easily searchable online or through AI platforms. South Korea, Japan, and northern European countries score well above 100. Lower income countries, such as countries in which many immigrants have come to the US from, score much lower.

You cannot apply the same governance to a group of low-or-mixed IQ people as you would to a group of all-high IQ people. It's that simple. In the same way that a business leader would apply a different leadership approach to hourly vs salaried employees. The HOA rules for an affluent suburban community would look very different than the rules for an apartment complex near the Astrodome. Because of this, you can't look to the northern European model of politics and apply those same principles to the USA -- where we have a very diverse set of people groups. It just doesn't work. Because the American liberal is afraid to have a mature discussion on individual differences... they are left behind on this argument.

Cuomo was a deeply flawed candidate, still bruised and battered from sexual harassment scandals and COVID nursing home scandals. The other candidates in the Dem primary were lunatic fringe nut jobs. Mamdani was the silver-tongued charlatan skilled enough in persuasion to trick the "big heart little mind" liberals in NYC to vote for him. His smiles and charisma charmed them into voting for him... despite him espousing policy positions that are proven to be catastrophic failures (government-run grocery stores, rent control, defund the police, etc).

If Mamdani becomes mayor, the biggest beneficiaries will be real estate agents in Miami, Dallas, and Nashville. As the exodus of smart, wealthy, responsible New Yorkers becomes reality. See Chicago as an example. Race to the exits once socialism knocks on your door.
