I was out on Green before he was ever drafted I was screaming from the rooftops that it’d be a generational mistake to pick Green over Mobley.
I did waver a tiny bit. I’m sure you can find posts of me gushing about Green’s finishing ability during his hot stretches. There were a couple times where I thought I was eating crow. I’d be lying if I said he never flashed star potential, but the consistency never came. It was always unsustainable
Suns are putting together a model that I have pushed here from *2017. Now teams are doing it and kicking @$$ and taking names. Suns have a clear path and an identity of 10 to 12 man rotation, fast pace, quick, slashers, surrounded by good 3-point shooters, switch everything defensively. I still don't know what the Rockets are doing? Half court slow pokes like Sengun, VanVleet, Durant, Adams, Capela who want to slow down things while mixed with guys that want to run in Jabari, Tari and Amen. Rockets will end up playing tug-a-war with itself and continue wasting time. My best Dan Gilbert impression: Suns will win a championship before the Rockets will. Unless they dump Sengun for Giannis this year. Big guys like Sengun are champions of the regular season but first or second round busts in the playoffs.
