The USA posted a financial SURPLUS in June.

    Economic growth (Tax cuts)
    Tariff Revenue
    Spending Cuts (DOGE)

Trump's formula is working in the face of all of the partisan criticism and legacy media attacks. I've never seen a better leader who presses on and does what he thinks is best for the economy -- even when that approach may be novel or met with fierce criticism. The man is operating on another level. Amazing leadership.

    GOOD DAY

Treasury posts unexpected surplus in June as tariff receipts surge

The U.S. government posted a surplus in June as tariffs gave an extra bump to a sharp increase in receipts, the Treasury Department said Friday.

With government red ink swelling throughout the year, last month saw a surplus of just over $27 billion, following a $316 billion deficit in May.

That brought the fiscal year-to-date deficit to $1.34 trillion, up 5% from a year ago. However, with calendar adjustment, the deficit actually edged lower by 1%. There are three months left in the current fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30.

A 13% increase in receipts from the same month a year ago helped bridge the gap, with outlays down 7%. For the year, receipts are up 7% while spending has risen 6%.

The government last posted a June surplus in 2017, during President Donald Trump’s first term.

Increasing tariff collections are helping shore up the government finances.

Customs duties totaled about $27 billion for the month, up from $23 billion in May and 301% higher than June 2024. On an annual basis, tariff collections have totaled $113 billion, or 86% more than a year ago.

It's a little early to do a victory dance but that is a nice blip in the road.

I can also save money in July by not changing the oil in my car or putting on new tires. Let's check back after a while to see how that turns out.

I just read that in 2021 Kerr County officials refused $10mm in federal funding to upgrade emergency infrastructure. They saved $10mm. How's that looking today?

So like I told you in the other thread. It isn't WHY are they cutting budgets but it's more about HOW are they cutting budgets.

Fed Atlanta is predicting below trend gdp growth for quarter
Tariff revenue is a tax on middle class.
    Quit lying

This "surplus" will be edited after final numbers are released. You people are in a cult

You got what you wanted from Trump -- a surplus! Yet you still whine and look for the negative?

    [Educational Post]
The first rule of sales: When you get what you want.... stop talking and leave.

Trump is just a FORCE. Turning this country around in spite of the haters and naysayers. Oftentimes the only man representing a position... and then time and again he turns out to be correct. Tariffs is another such example.

Nobody believes anything you morons claim. They cant even post authentic prison footage without lying

    -government spending is up
    -Trade deficit is up y/y

If Trumps policies were working then why did the senate increase the debt limit by 5 trillion dollars. FIVE TRILLION

I would wager you anything you want that the deficit will increase y/y. Any sum of $$. Your wallet where your fat mouth is

    Simple, because
    A) You can't turn an aircraft carrier on a dime... economic growth, spending cuts, and tax receipt growth will take time... and

    B) the Democrats were threatening to shut down government over the debt limit, so the Republicans took away that risk and safeguarded the American public... and gave themselves ample headroom to nullify the Democrats' partisan threats.

Cut taxes, replace Jerome Powell, let the spending cuts take effect, let the tariffs take effect, and let the OBBB kick in and provide rocket fuel for the American economy. Then let's take stock of where things stand financially.

Think like an Industrialist. Invest behind strength. The American economy is the envy of the world right now. Red hot.

Whyd you edit out the first part of my answer ? Why did the Trump admin post edited altered footage of the Epistein prison cell?

Republicans could've raised the debt ceiling by 1 or 2 trillion. No reason to do it by 5 trillion other than knowing you're going deficit spend like crazy.

Let's make it simple. The deficit goes down then I'll stop posting on clutchfans. Deficit goes up you quit posting?

    Yes or no

Traitor Geroge needs to be informed that these are preliminary / unadjusted data

    can you say accounting adjustments

    the accounting term is "adjusted"

just like DOGE, when the receipts are scruntinized publiclly, more errors will be revealed and accounting adjustments will be made
