So arresting gardeners, construction workers, car wash workers, and farmers has taken priority over drug lords, human traffickers, and those who exploit children? interesting…
They need to have the numbers to brag about. For the thousands of hard laborers they round up by military force like a huge drug cartel bust, the news story by Noem will portray them all as vile and dangerous criminals who deserve to be fed to alligators.
it’s a lineage of evil How these “Christians” don’t think they won’t be burning in hell is beyond me. They’re vile scum. They’ll probably be in hell dick riding Trump down there too
@Salvy @ROXRAN @Andre0087 @pgabriel The word ‘illegal’ is not existent in the wokes vocabulary But the word ‘Latinx’ does
Two things about recent ICE raids on ag properties in California. They raided a legal mar1juana growing warehouse. While legal in California, it is a violation of terms for an immigrant to work there as dope still has federal standing as an outlawed product. They even got a legal warrant signed by a judge for that one. It's a stupid and incendiary action, but a defensibly legal one. However, they are also raiding other ag facilities and creating fear everywhere. Here in Oregon, about 40% of the cherry crop was left on the trees because of lack of labor. Meanwhile, in California we are playing with fire. The state is the world's fifth largest producer of food. California has over 400 commodity crops. CA supplies one third of US vegetables. CA supplies 75% of US fruits. CA supplies 75% of US nuts. CA is the nation's largest milk producer (20% of total). The almond crop is hugely dependent on bees and CA supports 80% of the US beekeeping industry--it take two hives of bees to pollinate one acre of almonds and there are 1.3 million almond acres. Those same acres provide 100% of US almonds and 80% of the world's. CA is fifth in farm equipment sales. 19 US crops are only grown in California, including almonds, pistachios, walnuts, raisins, olives, and plums. Everything that can be automated has been automated. What's left, which is a lot, depends on human labor and it is not unskilled. For example, with cherries, you need to know when they are just ripe enough to pick and not too green or too sweet. There's a decision made on every cherry and you must pick trees multiple times. Into this massive set of systems we've created to feed the country and the world, we are degrading the labor pool and inserting uncertainty at every level. There will be consequences and some of them will be shocking. Don't think your grocery prices will stabilize anytime soon.
This is what facism looks like. Small government my ass But the braindead cultist @El_Conquistador claimed Trumps immigration policies were widely popular ?
literally the only thing that’s popular is deporting illegal violent criminals, which is not what this regime is doing everything else like snatching up workers, booting people that have been here for years and committed no crime, arresting people at immigration hearings and shipping them off to random countries, etc is deeply unpopular this was from a few months ago before Trump really started ramping up ICE A Pew Research Center poll earlier this year showed that Americans opposed deporting people “who have a job,” 56% to 41%. They also strongly opposed deporting people who came here as children (68-30%), the parents of US citizen children (60-37%), and undocumented immigrants who married citizens (78-20%). A March Marquette Law School poll was similar. While 68% broadly favored deportations, that number dropped to 41% for people who have been here for years, have jobs and have no criminal record. And a February Washington Post/Ipsos poll showed Americans opposed deporting people who haven’t broken non-immigration laws (57-39%), those who arrived as children (70-26%) and those who have been here for more than 10 years (67-30%). The problem for the administration is that these groups cover large swaths of people who would likely – and indeed already are – getting swept up in its deportations. The broader you go in your effort to make good on the “mass deportation” promise, the more likely you go after sympathetic targets. A case in point: A huge proportion of undocumented migrants in this country have US citizen children, due to birthright citizenship. Pew last year estimated 4.4 million citizen children have at least one undocumented parent. I imagine those numbers are even worse now
WTF.................we have them walking down a subdivision, WOW. Wait until the double the ICE Force and get some real $$ behind them, its trump`s secret police..................I hate when people hyperbole these situations but DAM, this is what it is and I am sure they have carte blanche to break the rule of law and decency These folks are the team that the Evangelicals voted for I am not sure they read the same Bible as I do........................this was the plan folks, Project 2025 (that trump swears he didn't have anything to do with) WAS the roadmap to hell for these people................I am not sure what word I can use to describe them other than Pure Evil. Here is the kicker, were only 6 months into this BS
