So, Titus has a new detective type show called “The Westies” that will be on MGM+ in 2026. They just started filming this month. So, I expect he will end up with two career defining roles instead of just the one. The irony is MGM+ is a subsidiary of Amazon. Also, Maggie Q’s new show “Ballard” comes out tomorrow I believe and will have Bosch help with the transition. But, Amazon basically pulled one over on Titus to get him to sign on for 4 episodes to break in the new show for Maggie while keeping him thinking he was going to continue “Bosch:Legacy” at the same time. Then, they pulled the rug out from under him. It makes me so mad that we’ve lost Bosch. Amazon brass can suck a d… . They lost a great actor and they sidelined a great character that had many more stories to tell. You know it was about money so they did the old switcharoo. and, the final episode was such a letdown the way it ended as they didn’t know it was the end.
it was not as good in Legacy but still better than most TV out there. They made a mistake featuring the totally uncharismatic daughter more in Legacy but the Titus parts were still interesting.
To me, the father/daughter dynamic is part of what makes the show great. And, I think the actress is great in the role. But, to each their own.
Yeah, I thought the daughter was really good too. Spoiler Her dealing with her mom's death, and then being abducted and buried... those were really good episodes. Some of the best moments from the whole series, IMO, and some great acting on her part.
Yes, that was great. However, when half the show was about the daughter and she's such a terrible actress unlike Titus, well, it takes away from the show. During 7 seasons of Bosch their relationship screen time was appropriately balanced. Not so in Legacy, way too much Maddie learning to be a cop crap. Less screen time for Maddie, more for Bosch and Legacy would have been a much stronger show.
They taught me all I needed to know about "Ballard" in the first 30 seconds: she can't hit her target from 20 feet away, twice, with a 12 ga shotgun
Really? I haven't watched one episode yet, I hope she has other ways of making her interesting as a character.
Yeah, I've watched about half of the first episode now. Maggie Q is hot and all but I'm just not into it yet. TBH, I'm not a real big fan of the Ballard books either.
The final season of Legacy was pretty crappy, I'll give you that. Spoiler Seemed like Frankie was written in just to give Money Chandler something to do for a bit. The Borders stuff was fine enough (a lot of Bosch having to be saved by other people as of late tho... ). The missing family stuff, okay, but we never really got to fear the bad guy and that storyline was front and center one second, and forgotten the next. The whole cartel/Jimmy storyline felt like something they came up with at the last minute. I can't even remember why Ballard came in, but her storyline was even worse. And yeah, Maddie learning to become a cop was wearing on me too.
It won't take you long...5 minutes was all I needed Then there's the whole politician "If you don't do this investigation like I want then you're just gonna be kicked out of this basement (?!?) and out of the force!!! "Can I have more police?" NO. There's no money for it. You'll get by with the "volunteers" (seriously WTF?) you have.
I know I watched that scene and it immediately got me thinking what role the politician played in his daughter's murder.
Titus would have already solved that I wish I could find clips of the best Deadwood scenes with him and Al Swearengen.
They should have kept the cute hacker FBI chick around She is on something on Prime now .. . CountDown or something Rocket River
Been waiting for all the episodes to drop. Not a show I want to watch weekly, but will give it a try when everything is out. I also hate finale cliffhangers and will refuse to watch if they have one.
