In this day and age, you better get some kind of acknowledgement. Even if it is related dirty talk to continue forward.... Also, there were other people in the space and NOBODY heard nothing. I don't get down like that. IMHO nobody should. Also IMHO you can / should know if somebody is giving consent / with it & ok with what is going on.
I'm so glad I'm not the only person who has to deal with this annoyance in their life. This is also another one that gets me. Another one we have where I'm from is that people use "borrow" where they should use "lend" and vice versa.
I'm not, I just take the drunk witness' statement with some level of skepticism. He probably did it. That's not the standard though. It's hardly defending him to point out there is clear reasonable doubt. Should have gone to civil court.
I wasn't in the jury, but I'll take a unanimous guilty verdict as strong evidence. If she'd gone to civil court she would've been called a gold digger.
He was foolish for being in the room. I wouldn't expect people in other rooms to hear something short of her screaming about being attacked. Reasonable doubt does exist. Drunk people are not good witnesses. No one disagrees he's a moron for getting into the situation. I've seen too many women in the news caught lying.
That will be around so long as social media exists. In the grand scheme of things I probably get way more annoyed by that one Rockets stan that posts the most bizarre stats than I do anything LeBron says. Thank god Jalen is gone so I dont have to see those "Jalen is the first player with 800 points, 100 made FTs, 20 3s, 42ish assists while have a TS% of 65% during the holy month since Kwame Brown and Michael Jordan. Slay 4."
Does it bother you now that almost everyone has abandoned the word "whom" and use "who" as an object? I once had a teacher who was annoyed by people using "contact" as a verb. "You don't 'contact' people. You 'make contact with' people."
I'm not old enough to have experienced when "whom" was still common vernacular, I'm afraid. I was only born in the 1980's, and I believe it fell out of common usage by the end of the decade when I was still a fairly small child. Most of my experience with more archaic syntax and turns of phrase comes through study of literature in school I'd say. It's very common here to study literature as far back as the Ancient Greeks (especially tragedies/plays) and obviously the more archaic translations of the Bible like the King James etc when we were studying the various changes in interpretation in religious studies.
Dude, I work as an author/editor, so EVERY grammar issue bothers me. Just today I saw “What’s the worse that could happen?” and my brain rolled its eyes.
Totally agree with this post. I;m not saying BM was right or he shouldn't do time. I'm saying my college life would;ve been much different if I wasn't allowed to buy a few women a few drinks go back to my/her place smoke a joint and spend the night together. I'm waiting to see how many Hypocrites are going to respond.
