Pretty ****ing bad hitter too Also, why pitch to Jose Ramirez. Look at the rest of the guys in that lineup.
Haven't criticized Espada much, but you absolutely cannot let Jose Ramirez beat you. If one of the other many scrubs behind him get to you so be it.
Because Astros have a legitimate shot at the best record in baseball and would recieve home field advantage over the Dodgers if they were to meet How do u not know this?? You're one of the worst posters on here who thinks they know it all but u don't know this?? U can't be serious
I was just checking to see if you dumbasses are already worried about what the Dodgers are doing pre all star break. and by the way, Dusty is gone. There is no reason for you to post here anymore. Dodger losses don’t make Astro losses feel better in Early July.
1. Stupid to pitch to Ramirez with a base open. Reminds me of Judge walking us off twice in one series because Dusty wouldn't put him on, said it was "good for baseball"....wasn't good for Houston Astros Baseball 2. Gordon should have never been left in to pitch, dude took a baseball off his dome. Some decisions are incredibly difficult. Some are really simple though 3. Walker being out REALLY makes this lineup bad. I know we keep losing players and keep winning. But honestly you could make an argument that all of Hummel, Trammell, Short and Corona shouldn't even be in MLB, much less all starting together. Hopefully Jake is back tonight and Dubon is back in the lineup Quit pitching to Ramirez with a base open. Win the next two and move on.
He probably should have been pulled and I agree with being cautious pitching to Ramirez there… But he made an absolutely perfect pitch on the corner that should have put him up 0-2 in the AB before the HR. There’s a huge difference between a 1-1 and 0-2 count.
No need to argue at all. If Pena, Yordan, Walker, Chas, and Jake are all healthy, none of those guys even sniff the majors this season.
Guardians scored 15 runs in last 10 games before putting up 6 against us last night. Pathetic. Why the hell is Ramirez seeing any strikes?
Are people suggesting, every time a great hitter comes to the plate with men at 1st and 2nd with 2 outs, that the batter be intentionally walked? Even going to a poor hitter, there is essentially a 25% he gets a hit that drives in at least two runs with the bases loaded and about a 30% chance of a hit or a walk that drives in 1 run. Ramirez only hits an extra-base hit about 10% of the time. Doubling the number of runners in scoring position for a poor hitter with 2 outs is typically worse than facing a great hitter with men at 1st and 2nd.
