He doesn’t need to lead. He literally just needs to fulfill his role. Kareem won rings at 37, 39, and 40. And we’re not in a championship or bust scenario, any deep playoff experience will be huge for Amen, Sengun, and the other young guys

Jalen Green has us all scarred for life.

Don't worry, there won't be any questions that Kevin Durant can put a run of good basketball together that lasts a month.

r/ rockets from reddit reports that DFS will wear number 2 for the Houston Rockets. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, I remember Kareem but he wasn't traded for to lead, and Magic led that team, that is the best case here, right? Amen leads and KD supplies old man bucket getting.

KD won't be a 36mpg player, he can't be at this age, but he can be a 28mpg 20pt efficient scorer, and that is the hope.

Last year he played 36.5 mpg at 36 years old. What makes you think he'd be unable to do something similar at 37? Not saying it would be ideal, just curious what makes you think he wouldn't be able to if he wanted?

Every team's fanbase that gets KD reacts the same initially. Ask Nets or Suns fans how that turned out. I'm just saying, we should temper expectations until we see what our team looks like a month or two into the season.

I'm sure KD, if healthy, is gonna ball out and average his 50/40/90 numbers, it's the fit that concerns me. On paper, it seems like a no-brainer but you never know when just adding a guy to the team, especially a high profile player like KD. Just ask the Suns team that made the finals and then added KD.

As for Capela, I'm beginning to understand why we need him on this team. His skillset is different than Adams and Sengun and if we want Reed to succeed, he needs a good PnR big man. I think Capela will be sharing the floor with Reed a lot. Seems to me Stone and Ime still want to use Adams with Sengun more on the double-big lineup.

The Nets were looking like a Championship contender until things outside of KD's control went off the rails. The only blame you can put on him for that is backing up his buddy Kyrie when he sat out. On the court KD was as good as advertised. Suns situation, he gets more blame but they're also a woeful and incompetent organization top to bottom.

Umm...Durant wasn't the Nets's problem. Though, being able to trade him to the Suns netted them about 11 first-round picks (5 for Bridges, 1 for Cam) plus 3 or 4 swaps gave the Nets a get out of jail free card after Harden and Kyrie destroyed their team.

I share your concerns. Durant couldn’t lead a team to a championship in his 20s so why would he be able to do that at 40ish?

But he was dirt cheap so what the hell.
