Am I the only one who is excited to see Shepard play the first two games in summer league before getting load management'd for the rest of Summer League? Do we have any UDFA we can pretend will develop into something?
I think most of us are looking forward to seeing Reed for a couple of games but the squad will be terrible and probably very disorganized like last year.
I am excited. I will try to watch all the Reed Sheppard games. I am also looking forward to seeing if Nfaly Dante is progressing towards being a rotation player.
This will be the worst summer league rockets team in a good while. Reed will be getting triple teamed lol
Should be interesting, you'd have to imagine they'll throw everything at Sheppard since he's the only competent player on the Summer League Roster, but that's really no different than his G league stint.
There’s a lot riding on Reed this year. The Rockets will need him at his best to accomplish big things this year! Hope he balls out.
Just want to see if Reed has put on any muscle and improved that handle. Those were my only concerns from last season.
Should be. And we always seem to have a couple of recognizable names who have kicked around the G-League for years. Last I checked, Daishen Nix, Jermaine Samuels and Thon Maker were still languishing in our system.
I liked Samuels. If he had a reliable 3 point shot, he could have been a useful 3/D player. I think the Rockets released him.
Guess I’ll be focusing in on Matthews and Harris. I’m not gonna let myself care about anything Reed does in summer league. Learned my lesson in Vegas last year. With Capela on board I’m not sure Dante is relevant at all this coming season. Still don’t understand what the fascination is with Roddy. Not gonna be a great yr for rockets summer league…but I’ll gladly trade a lackluster summer league for a little post-season success
