I don't get the doom and gloom. There is no team without holes. The Rockets are one of the deepest teams who essentially have their best assets in place moving forward. They are a legitimate championship contender today. They were not at the end of the season.

    Not good enough for what?

This was basically a KPJ-KJ Martin situation. No one was ever going to offer much.

    Amen+Jabari+Reed>>>>Mobley

Miss me with that playoff projection. I don't give a crap about early playoff appearances that don't result in anything. It is literally a two year wait dude.

To those saying this was Stone doing Cam a solid, I don't buy that. The reports have been out there for a while that they were shopping him. Cam had no leverage to force a trade. There wasn't a market for him obviously. They could have kept him but reality was Houston was ready to cut ties and Cam didn't want to be here and be glued to the bench. Not an exciting return but they are Wizards 2nd rounders which will be at the top of the second. They could have some trade value

Well, let's step back and look at how deep this roster is:

    1. Kevin Durant
    2. Alperen Sengun
    3. Amen Thompson
    4. Fred VanVleet
    5. Steven Adams
    6. Tari Eason
    7. Jabari Smith Jr.
    8. Dorian Finney-Smith
    9. Clint Capela
    10. JaeSean Tate
    11. Reed Sheppard
    12. Aaron Holiday
    13. Jeff Green

    You know what? I'm good.

Best of luck Cam. I know you'll earn your spot in Washington.

    This team is RIDICULOUSLY deep!!

Stop with the Stone ball licking bro!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I NEVER said that what had been done prior to trading Cam was invalidating anything!! I actually said those were great moves!! It’s right there for everyone to see!!

I did say that this was a STUPID move!! A move that they did not have to make at this point and the return was abysmal!! The Wizards won this trade by a landslide!!

    Two second rounders?? Pathetic!!

This was always going to be the case- a loaded, young roster without an established hierarchy meant that some players would not be able to develop. It is to Cam's benefit that the Rockets did him a solid and moved him when they didn't need to. Meanwhile, the Rockets can focus on the development of their core and add pieces as necessary on their way to championship contention.

Those are fine. The Bulls and Kings are two of the worst franchises in the league. I think the Wizards are better set up for the future.

I have to trust that the Rockets observed Whitmore's daily habits and decided there was no way to integrate him into what we're doing. And we have some experience with managing dysfunctional players. Cam will have to make a sensational turnaround to become the great force that makes us think that we lost something here.

He was always a risky selection. The talent is there, but he's squandered a lot up to this point. College coaches and now our franchise hasn't been able to reach him.

Let's see if he can crack the Washington rotation (guards: CJ McConnell, Marcus Smart, Corey Kispert, and the newly drafted Trey Johnson). Maybe he finds a niche behind Kris Middleton or Justin Champagnie as a forward.

So first you say Stone has no balls and now you are saying I am ball licking? STFU.

If those were great moves why are you now saying Stone has no balls? Are you crazy? You the type to b**** slap your mom just cuz she dropped a plate or something? Doesn't matter what else they have done if they make one mistake its over???

I also hate this move but i'm not going around acting like Stone is suddenly a moron now. He prob didn't even wanna do this trade this reeks more of Udoka putting his foot down.

I agree with you. Unpopular opinion around here, but I don't like what Stone has done to this team recently. They might be better next year if they are healthy, but the cost has been pretty heavy. This move being the worst of the bunch. They must have really wanted Cam gone, and I'm pretty sure the feeling was mutual. Just a truly unfortunate situation.

    Is Mobley+Sengun better than Sengun+Amen+Jabari+Reed?

Another dumb BTG argument to be sure.

Both Eason and Finney-Smith will get 25 minutes per game off the bench.

The Rockets now have an nine-man rotation consisting of:

    VanVleet/Sheppard
    Durant/Thompson
    Thompson/Eason
    Jabari Smith Jr./Dorian Finney-Smith
Alperen Sengun/Steven Adams (Capela will play Adams’ role if Adams is out due to injury or rest)

The problem is if any of the wings get injured esp KD now we have a problem of scoring.

The only POA scorers on the team are just Durant and Sengun, the rest are C and shoot threats and Amen who is still developing.
