I'm about 90 percent sure that this rift between Trump and Musk is distraction theatre and they are both still in tune with each other. The more the everyday American has to work paycheck to paycheck , the more control the oligarchs and govt have over the people Elon will be fine with his billions and his buying power will even go up if our economy crashes. Like most congressmen, I haven't read the 1000 page bill. Who even knows how this will be enforced. Personally , the thing that I've heard that is most concerning is the ICE money increase. Ice has already been operating with a wide brush, detaining and "mistakenly" deporting people. This money allowed them to cast their already wide net over a larger area. First it's the rapists and criminals Then it's anyone who recently entered Then it's bad naturalized citizens Then it's people born here that didn't deserve it Then it's "bad" US citizens Then it's political opposition This is stuff Trump is actually saying , whether you think it's exaggerated or taken out of context or whatever. I’m not worried about any Musk Party candidate winning any elections. But, he can sink a lot of congressmen in primaries with his money.
Issue with American politics is that it has no room for people who actually have dem/Republican ideologies. I have a liberal father in law who thinks I’m a Super Maga cultist and my dad thinks I’m an AOC lover. Our politics are cooked.
I don’t understand why people think this is a bad idea. It doesn’t matter what the party stands for, anybody taking real votes away from the 2 party system will cause a seismic shift in the monopoly they don’t work for us, they just voted on something that is against the interests of 99% of the population. another legit party is needed, these two are not going to change. Even if this 3rd party doesn’t win it will hold everyone more accountable. Also that being said the dems and repugs are not the same, the latter are far more corrupt and dangerous to this country.
Trump will always be the guy who killed solar and wind power projects from America's agenda with this bill. I guess he plans on powering all these new AI data centers with more coal plants? Sounds like a triple whammy...kill renewable energy because it doesn't fit your political agenda (nevermind the planet), increase pollution by falling back on more coal plants and usage, and handing China the keys to the renewable energy market. Absolutely zero forward thinking for innovation for the future. Wants us to live in an unsustainable sh thole of an environment for the greenbacks. He obviously didn't listen to Musk. I like the idea of an in-the middle president and one that has renewable energy sources in mind. Not sure it's Musk. But, there is too much extreme positioning on both sides. And, a lot of it seemingly exists just to stick it to the other side.
