Guess that depends on how much Udoker likes Ayo. Would you go first apron for him @BimaThug or is there any cap gymnastics that could make it work and stay under?
No its not. Appeal to authority means your are saying something is true because an authority figure did it. "Ime didnt play (insert player) so that means said player wasnt ready, didnt do what was needed to play, was worse than available options, ect... No matter how good of a coach anyone thinks Ime is, he doesnt do EVERYTHING right and theres really no point in a discussion board if the go to is " well the experts did it so thats what the correct thing was"
Crap! I'd hate giving the Fakers Cam for 2 terrible 2nds. If Cam blows up with them, I'll be so disappointed.
This is pretty funny to look up - indeed Whitmore "literally out shot Jalen Green for the year" by going . 355 instead of . 354. This was mildly surprising to me but I looked it up on bbref. He eeked out this .001 advantage by going 10-18 in the last 3 games of the season - starting in all 3. A span in which the Rockets went 0-3.... ....losing each game by an average of 21 points.... .....and were -29 in Whitmore's minutes. Even better, most of it was in his "exclamation point" game against the Lakers - where he put up 21 of his 34 points and hit a bunch of 3's in the second half alone... ....in a game in which the Rockets trailed by 19 at halftime and would go on to lose by 31. I guess in DD land this means he should've started vs the Warriors game 1, he earned it! Clown emoji.gif
Oh, you mean the game in which basically no starters played? Yep, they lost, em - what a shock. The point is still accurate, what did he shot on 3pters from January on? 40.1%....what did Jalen shoot? DD
What did he shoot in non garbage time minutes in meaningful games? I'll wait while you look it up. You don't need a calculator
Posted a longer version in the KD Cam thread, but there’s a reason dude was 20, when he had top 5 skill. That’s coming from someone who likes watching Cam, but he’s a black hole. Can’t pass, doesn’t defend, seemingly unhappy with his PT, but also obviously not putting in the work (Otherwise we wouldn’t be here). I wanted him here and I still think if he can get the right mentor to help his mindset, he could be a great player. But, this team is now a title contender, and seems like the franchise has decided that they don’t have the time or patience to baby him along. Look at the attitude and body language difference between someone like Reed and Cam. Cam seems a little like an outcast, if I had to guess from the outside looking in. On media day, I was a bit shocked by Cam’s answer to a question regarding what he worked on and did this first NBA offseason. He said something to the effect of - traveled a lot, lots of vacations. Relaxed. He didn’t say a word about anything he worked on in the offseason or anything he learned. I found that striking. He’s immature… can he find his way? Sure, he’s still very young. But, it seems as though the Rockets don’t like what they see, and are prepared to move forward without him. If they thought he’d buy in to our philosophies, no reason there would be talk of trading him for 2nd rounders
Should Jalen Green violently assault a woman one day, it’s going to put DD in quite the position. Will he blame the Phoenix Police Department? Cam is a talented guy, but if it’s come to this, I would imagine he doesn’t even have the backing of his core teammates. And to just go out and say he will be better than Jalen Green no matter what is crazy. It’s just like saying Kevin Porter Junior is better than Jalen Green. there is a chance that Whitmore ends up a better player than green in the end. There is zero chance that Porter ever is better. This is what it looks like when you love the internet so much that you never abandon your stances. I think this morning he said that he doesn’t make a difference as a coach. anybody that’s watched the last five or six seasons, can’t think that. If you put him and Bobby on ignore, it really cleans up the BBS. @SamFisher I hope you get through to the poor b*stard.
I never was a big Wood fan and Lin was way over the top for me. Unlike Wood and Lin, we drafted Cam and he won our hearts early as SL MVP. We saw a glimpse of the kind of dynamic scoring her could provide and the kind of spark we needed off the bench on the offensive in. I'm not a Cam only fan by any stretch, but he has some skills we need. If he can't assimilate into the team's culture then I understand the trade (if it comes).
