Sad to see you look at rural people like this. I find rural people to be salt of the earth. Tell you what rural people can do that most urban people cant do.

Hunt and grow their food and trying to take these citizens guns would be a terrible idea. Rural people believe in self reliance. Most rural areas are within an hour of healthcare and choose to live life as close to off the grid as possible.

Do they live within an hour or two from a place they can get healthcare? Example: Do they live an hour outside of Houston? Also if you really cared they could move in with you while they're getting treatments in the city.

 

No word vomit here and if you truly care then they can move in with you while they're receiving treatment. Or sell their place and move into the city where they will receive better healthcare, if healthcare is that important to them.

They are working class adults living with chronic illnesses. They have no desire to live with me or in my HCOL state. I’ve asked.

They live about 80 miles from the nearest major city (they are not Texans).

They will not pick up their lives and live in an expensive city. Nor should they.

They have options, they choose to live an hour and a half from the major healthcare they need. I understand this, I grewup in the country ansd have family that are having cancer treatments as we speak and they would still rather live in the country and make the hr/ hr 1/2 trip into Houston.

 

Do you think they're off by 3 trillion dollars and the tens of millions of people they think will lose heath coverage? You're twisting yourself into the most knotted pretzel of all time to justify this.

 

Wrong, I've got family that currently live in the country and choose to make the 1 1/2 trip into Houston for treatment. They love living in the country and this is just the trade off for the country life. Something you probably could never understand.
