I honestly think Espada was relieved we didn't tie it in the 9th so he wouldn't be forced to use more relievers.

 

With LMJ going tomorrow, we can expected the unexpected and the bullpen will probably be burned.

 

Once we got the lead, we should have put in Hader and company.

 

Which would mean no sense in using your best relievers. Joe F’d up in this one.

All losses are "bad," but this one is especially disappointing.

 

Losing one game to the Rockies feels like a series lost.

So disappointing. However, the Astros' record is impressive considering all the injuries and poor performances. Diaz is another giant disappointment after having a catcher who couldn't hit for so long.

 

Feels like this wounded bunch is due some L’s heading into L.A. Let’s hope they can get to the All-Star break still #2 in the AL. at Dodgers, then home to CLEV & TEX to close out the 1st half

So,1 run victories are a product of the team/talent, Espada gets no credit, but one run losses, all on Joe. He's trash, got it.

FTR I wanted a retread. (Showalter) You fan how you want to fan but we're 17 games over .500, probably should be 4 games over .500 battling with SEA for the division. It's been pretty ****ing impressive to date and yes IMO Espada gets credit, good and bad.

It wasn't too long ago: "he's not a leader" "the players have no fire" "they need a real leader, better hurry up and fire him" but lately not a ****ing peep of that ****.

 

Fun series. I got to go to last night's game and today's game. It was so friggin' hot out there, but damn the stadium was heavily orange and loud for the Stros' which was fun. Not sure how it is at Daikin these days, but I parked about 5 minutes from the stadium and made one right turn and had a straight shot back to my house. I can't imagine how long it would take me to get home from Daikin at 4pm on a weekday.

Only winning 12 1 run games in a row is definitely hallmark of a trash manager. Get me a half decent manger that will win us a baker's dozen 1 run games in a row.
