Ehh, I don’t love the idea of becoming Brooklyn Nets 2.0. Even if it “works” it feels like a cheap path to contention to dump ALL our homegrown talent for aging superstar mercenaries.
Jabari can be traded but has a poison pill restriction. We would need to take in around 22 million in salary for his 12.4 million.
Yeah, he's been a douche since he became an All-Star. A talented douche, but a douche nonetheless. I'm torn with the idea of bringing in a menace on both ends of the court (then having to watch him be a lesser version of Dream on both ends) and having to put up with his douchey behavior.
Yep. Lillard out, Lopez heading out, Gary Trent Jr a UFA and likely gone. The remaining rotation guys: Giannis, Kuzma, Portis, KPJ, Cannaugton Even with Giannis, that's .500 team at best.
GreekFreak is holding up a lot of moving parts as we all anticipated. Don't be surprised if Gary makes a temporary home in Houston, especially after his late game disaster in that pivotal minute or so... He is close to KD, so this shouldn't be news. Also, if Beas is guilty of those allegations, he fumbled the bag (as the kids used to say) more than Dennis Schroeder after leaving the West Coast. Sitting in an appointment at the moment, but more to come. Jalen was who we thought he was. The Suns will really not have enough shots to go around if Beal is finally let out of the previous staff's doghouse. Love y'all.
I really didn’t understand the Suns trading what little draft picks they had and using the only good one. I really thought (and maybe they still will) trade Jalen in a package for a PG. I think they could have had a shot at Coby White if they hadn’t blown it up with the Williams trade. I think they didn’t want Jalen, because he is a SG and they want Booker off the point, but they took him over cap space, because they know he has trade value. I think he has a break out year in Phoenix if they keep him. Jalen has always been a robin or 6th man type. He did not have the right role here out of necessity, because of the make-up of the team. Good luck with your health. We all miss hearing from you.
I don't understand how the Rockets could have Giannis too. They would have to gut the current lineup.
The problem is and always will be Milwaukee's asking price... Right now they don't control any of their first round picks until 2031 the rest of them are either traded outright or teams have the right to swap the only one that is protected is the 2027 pick swap which is top 4 protected. That means tanking is going to net them very little so odds are high they will want the Suns & Nets picks from us plus several members from the core to match the salaries. The only way I see it working out semi favorably is Brook Lopez signs a deal with the Lakers to return home to close out his career then the Bucks will surely have to re-sign Gary Trent Jr because they have an anti-Phoenix Suns style problem where their 3 highest paid players (Giannis, Kuzma, & Portis) all play power forward. Then as the trade deadline approaches Giannis will finally have to drop the act and turn heel and demand a trade. Then perhaps I could see lowering the price to something even remotely palatable. At least by then we will see how the current group plays with Durant. I have negative interest in sending out too much to get Giannis before the season starts that would be a dumpster fire.
Scores 30 ppg and cant shoot. SMH, what he is, is a top 5 player in the NBA. If you get a chance to trade for 3-4 years of a top 5 player you do it. I love Alpi but would put him in a trade for Giannis.
