    Costa Rica any good, or just like the usual Costa Rica?

    They’re CONCACAF good. They’ve been on a bit of a hot streak, too. Will be a tough game. We beat them 3-0 in a January friendly but it was neither team’s current roster.

    It's good that we got to the semi's and a nice bit of luck that Canadia managed to f*** it up against a team ranked in triple digits. Semi's, regardless of what level of roster we play in this tournament, is the bare minimum expectation. So now a final in Houston at NRG is expected considering the opponent. I just don't see it with this team. Still think they're a bunch of try-hards with very little of the talent that should be on this roster this time next year.

    Just imagine a Guatemala/Honduras final in NRG. There would be like 14 people there.

    Most of them, but Adams is good, Ream, Richards, etc.....and we have some midfielders that are coming up to challenge, and the only forward left standing, Malick Tillman (MF/F) is looking good.

    At least they are worth watching again.

    Not thrilled with that kind of move. The Tillman move from PSV to Bayern Leverkusen makes sense because it's the next logical step up, league wise, and will further his development. A move like this...going from MLS to Bayern Munich is a massive leap and he'll either be sitting on the bench/reserves or be loaned out. And then what? Another Gio Reyna?

    @Raz...thoughts?

    It's stuff like this that threatens having the World Cup in the US.

    Cuban woman's volleyball team denied US visa
    Iran has already qualified. They could, theoretically, have them play their group games in Mexico and/or Canada...but what if they get into the knockout rounds? What about Haiti (currently 2nd in their group)? DR Congo is leading their group.

    I don't even know who that is and he hasn't been mentioned at all in German media.

    Former USMNT Gregggggggggg Berhalter's son and current USMNT/Vancouver FC (MLS) midfielder.

    I don't see it. I see his dad...abject mediocrity and a try-hard. Decent at dead balls but doesn't, at least at the international level, seem to get himself involved in games. Watching the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal right now and I've only heard his name when he was giving away bad passes. But he runs a lot...so there's that?

    A win is a win and being in a final is always a good thing. But to barely hold on to beat the 106th ranked team? This should've been a 6-0 opening round game. Not a 2-1 semifinal. I will grant that Luna surprised me today and both goals were very well taken. I'd be fine with him as a bench player next year.

    I'm grateful to know that we have Dest and Robinson because Freeman and Arfsten are not good. Out of the starters today, the only ones that should even be on the roster next summer are Luna, Tillman, Adams, Richards, and I'd have Tim Ream. IMO, we still don't have a keeper. Berhalter does nothing for me. de la Torre has regressed. Agyemang has the touch and instincts of a baby giraffe. Outside of the starters, I think Brendan Aaronson is getting a raw deal from Poch. He should be in there over Berhalter or de la Torre. He's done it in the EPL and the Championship.

    On to the final. I won't be watching because I'll be at the Outlaw Music Fest watching my favorite band (The Avett Brothers). Go Honduras.
