So that means we can basically have a Montero contract from Daiken every year. Thanks fellas!

That's I guess one way to look at things I suppose

Or you could sink an extra $15M into the development/scouting/minor league situations every year.

    Or just pocket it.

Whatever works for you I guess.

Well my point is that our stadium name is stupid

wish we were one of the teams that didn’t do that (give our stadium a corporate name)

It should’ve been called something Astro related this whole time.

I’m obviously in favor. Was just being silly.

We are only 2 million below the tax threshold. What contracts could we ship out to get someone meaningful in a trade? Chas, Rodgers?

Who cares what the name is…would you rather them cut payroll by $10M+?

One doesn’t have to equal the other. Yankee stadium. Fenway park. Oriole park @ camden yards, etc…

    I would prefer that.

If its just 10 mil then they can find a creative way to replace that money and give us an awesome and unique stadium name. Something Astro or Houston related.

I think someone should pay $15M to take the OXY s**t off of everything.

    Oriole Park
    Fenway Park
    Angel Stadium
    Dodger Stadium
    Yankee Stadium
    Nationals Park

Well, here is some good news:

The remaining strength of schedule for the division.

    30th - Houston Astros, .480
    19th - Seattle Mariners, .497
    8th - Arlington Rangers, .509

    Stros - looking good.

The Astros have pitched four shutouts in the last six games against two teams that are the top three teams in the national League.

    Insane.

And I'm still worried about Tarik Skubal.

When he is on, he can shut any team down.

    Roster additions expected in July:
    OF Chas McCormick
    2B Brendan Rodgers

    Roster additions expected in August:
    SS Jeremy Pena
    DH Yordan Alvarez
    OF Zach Dezenzo
    OF Jacob Melton
    SP Spencer Arrighetti
    SP Cristian Javier
    SP Luis Garcia
    SP JP France

    2026:
    SP Hayden Wesneski
    SP Ronel Blanco
    RP Shawn Dubin
    OF Pedro Leon

That’s an insane amount of potential production on the shelf.

Dominating 2 division leaders, should move us up. That being said, Pena's injury is a huge loss. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. We can't keep shrugging off the injuries forever, can we?

Yordan will be back before August.

And if you really think Dubin’s injury turns into TJ, he’s not going to be back next season.

I keep expecting the worse, seeing the best. I really thought the Mariners would be on our ass after the last homestand. We still got a test ahead of us with the Dodgers and we probably lose at least one to the the Rockies because that is what we do. LOL

Sample sizes aren't big enough until the Astros have a 5-game lead on the division.
