    Ok? And?

Naz Reid is 4 years older than Jabari

guys receiving rookie extensions aren’t just paid for what they currently are…potential is factored in as well

current Jabari, but with his 3 point percentage raised from 35% to 37%, would already be worth this sort of contract

Nazi Reid is far better than Jabari but he got the same pay.

    Reid:
    14.2 pts in 27.5 mins with 46.2% and 37.9% in 80 games.

    Jabari:
    12.2 pts in 30.1 mins with 43.8% and 35.4% in 57 games.

    Steal? Lol
    Absolutely overpaid.

Yes of course! It's why I specifically chose the preface "I think" and not "I know". ;)

Yes I think Brooks and the #10 with expirings would have been a much preferable deal for the Suns. I think if we had expirings instead of Jalen to offer, we probably could have gotten KD without giving up a pick as premium at the #10.

A young athletic big dude who can shoot from deep will remain pretty attractive in trades. If it doesn't work out as well as they hope, I bet someone will think they can "fix" him in 3 years as a trade candidate - he should be somewhat easy to get out of as salary filler and an underdog reclamation project. People always are willing to gamble on toolsy bigs.

You are simultaneously undervaluing what he brings to the table, downplaying his natural progression, AND not understanding how the cap is projected to jump in the next 3 years. There is literally zero chance this deal will EVER look like an albatross. None.

Yeah, no. This reeks of you thinking Green was a negative asset pre-trade and stubbornly sticking to that belief.

I honestly believe that, yes. Not stubbornly, but relaxed and earnest.

24 is a tad higher than what I would give him but a lot of his value is not in the numbers / stats so I’d be fine with this extension

so 4 years older than Jabari like I said…

Naz Reid is on his 3rd contract

Jabari, as with most guys who are offered rookie extensions, have potential factored in…your crying won’t change that

Naz Reid got offered 3/41 on his 2nd contract after averaging 17 mpg for his career up to that point…damn near almost a million per mpg

3rd year guys aren’t being paid for what they currently are, and unlike someone like Jalen who Stone offered 35 mil/yr, Jabari is being paid role player money

They could have paid Landale 30 million and you could say the same if he was used.

It's was the contract for salary matching, not the player.

Absolute nonsense. The Cavs offered Garland. Anyone who thinks Jalen wasn’t an important, positive asset in that trade is just a stubborn weirdo.

Absolutely if in nearly 4 years when he's as old as Reid he's the same player as today.

Call me skeptical he makes no improvement.

How long were the Sengun and Jalen extension announcements spaced out last time?

Durant didn't want to go to cleveland.

Garland was clearly better offer but not taken.
