Its obvious that they cant really on Rookies just yet!. when experience means everything during the 4th quarter or mostly probably in the playoffs. You Run out DFS, Durant, FVV, Adams, Segun when they need that exp to hold up games down the crunch. Yet they built this team around Segun and Amen.
Holiday actually contributed last season as a defender & 3pt shooter. What sucks is your basketball knowledge
This move would ruin a good offseason. He’s one of the worst players in the NBA. 32 and barely averages 8 ppg on 30 mpg. AWFUL waste of 15mm.
I don't want to give the Lakers Cam tho, I feel like Luka would turn Cam into a star since he'd be a lob threat easily. I think we pass on him, DFS is a bit overrated since he plays for the Lakers. Their fans hype him up like he's some elite role player but he's just okay. I think we can do better, plus we need backup guards who can score. We had terrible bench production last year.
lol one of the worst players in the NBA? What a stupid statement. He averaged .41 from 3 last season and is a fantastic switch defender. Watch games, not box scores.
come on. Cam doesn’t have the court vision or passing skill that Amen does. Come on. but for the record, I don’t think Amen is a guard either. He can certainly handle guard responsibilities better than Cam though.
I would be good here paying him the MLE. I don’t want to trade Cam for him. We need Cam. He represents the best option we have to come off the bench and be instant offense, which will be needed. That being said, DFS Is like a more consistent version of Dillon Brooks that will make better decisions.
Prior to the last three seasons he shot 3 pt fg% of 31%, 33%, 30%, 34%. His career free throw average is 66% which leads me to think he’s not a great outside shooter. 8ppg career average…GET REAL THIS GUY SUCKS!!! Sure let’s give him our one MLE and 15 million dollars and possibly trade and sign for Cam. You say I don’t know bball…get a clue!!!!!
Agreed on all points, which is why I'm frustrated. I don't think DFS is worth starting the repeater tax clock for, much less giving up Cam.
Collin Sexton would have been a great fit, but Utah paid a second-round pick to send him to Charlotte earlier today.
I'm not keen on DFS. He is useful, but not as a S/T player. Gary Trent Jr would be a very good pickup with the NT- MLE.
I like how you, Imanimal of the Internet, has figured out something that multiple NBA front offices have not. DFS was coveted my multiple teams at the trade deadline. Jake Fischer reports that NBA teams are looking to give him the full MLE after he opted out. Are all of these NBA franchises just stupid, oh wise one? 3 & D players have been critical to winning basketball for a long time now and DFS is definitely a plus defender and outside shooter. It's in black in white. You know what the best stat of all is? Wins and losses. The Lakers flourished after obtaining DFS. They were 14-6 when he was the starter.
I would be surprised if we started the repeater tax, but you never know If the the coaches and FO think he's a huge get and that we have a real title shot with KD, maybe we do? But a 4/50 with player option offer potentially gives DFS enough to be happy with and would keep us under the lux tax (with Whitmore traded for cap space).
Don’t you know that if you can’t score 15 points per game with starters’ minutes, you suck? Never mind the fact that there is only one ball for five players to share.
