4 extra base hits for Seattle in the entire 3 game series vs Texas.

That team is ass. Raleigh coming back down to Earth.

I just witnessed maybe the greatest play by a pitcher in my life on fielding a bunt headed towards SS/3B.

Regardless of the reason - Walker has had a bad start to his career with the Astros. I don’t look at him and see a helpless situation yet, I think it is possible he has a strong second half or season next year- but thus far he has been ass.

M’s ahead 3-1. Rangers aren’t reliable on offense.

I’ll take the over on Altuve. A lot of the WAR issue is he started terrible in LF this year. Altuve has been very streaky this year, it’s very possible he ends the season on a hot streak and has an OPS north of .800… he gets worn down easy, but he produces when he isn’t beat up. He has a chance for 30 homers this year.

Altuve obviously not what he once was. He’s basically a dead pull hitter now and he plays in a great park for that.

Other than "we would like both teams to lose"...why do we care about Seattle and Dallas anymore?

After witnessing the first two Extra Innings, MLB has declared that both Seattle and Texas will incur a loss.

    Sheesh.

I just would like to say we are 7 1/2 games ahead of Seattle rather than 6 1/2. Surely you understand this Copernicus.

The Astros have lost only one home series…. All season.

    “World’s best humidor?”

(They have tripled-down on never opening the roof… including in April…. And maybe its a tad stuffier in there by design?)

You know it's been "scientifically proven" that balls travel farther in humid air than they do in dry air?

I do too but maybe he’s not as motivated once he secures his bag. Happens all the time. I know he’s competitive and all that jazz. It just wouldn’t surprise me. His age will also be a factor soon.

He has been lights out though, especially over his last 10 starts or so.

    Ah, Copernicus…. (Sorry, couldn’t resist).

The effect is all about how the balls are stored. Decreasing the humidity/temp variances between ball and outside world apparently works?
