You think? I'd say that this is the first time in 3 years where he's looked absolutely nothing like the face of the franchise. We've got KD, and then Amen will take over. Sengun looks like our current Robin's, Robin right now. Maybe he's Batgirl.
While that is true, the main hate has to do with age and injury history which both players deal with.
So curious when his decline will start manifesting. Is it at the end of his soon-to-be extension when he's 40? Is it when he's 39? Def hope it's not next year. Def hope it's a gradual age-related decline, not crashing out with a significant injury. Hope we don't play him heavy minutes. Something like 30min a night maybe?
I don't believe in this superstition, IMHO Curry is just a better leader and Durant has been a mercenary so far..... But I do not exclude the possibility of Durant maturing to be better at this.
He is a jump shooter so whenever he gets a shot up in clutch time it could go in......and mostly they go in. But you can swarm him with physicality and force him to let Sengoon and Amen beat you.
What is everyone's expectation for Durant? I am thinking 25ppg, on 50%FG and 40% 3pt...... and about 26-28 mpg with him only playing about 60 games to keep him fresh for the playoffs. DD
I disagree. We could use additional help, but KD can and will carry this team. He didn’t do well with split leadership scenarios but he has something to prove and he’s eager to do so.
I'm absolutely fine, you might want to learn to read. There was no whining there at all you weirdo lmao, all I did was disagree with you, sorry you can't take that.
The one worry I do have is that Ime likes to play his vets super high mins, and I don't feel like that would be the way to maximise KD, even though he's easily the best player on the court for us when he is.
I'm less concerned with his stat line and more concerned with how he elevates our offense. Two years ago we had the 20th best offense and last year we had the 13th best offense. This year I expect us to be top 10 in offense, and I also expect him to close games for us. Last year we had a huge problem closing games and it seemed like we struggled to find offense when games got tight. And then we especially felt that in the playoffs since the entire game feels tight. I want Durant to transform that. I want to feel in control when games get tight and feel confident that we can score, get stops, and come out on top. As long as he accomplishes those two things I don't really care if he has 20, 25, or 30 ppg. I do agree with you on the minutes though. I hope Ime doesn't overplay him. He's got a history of injuries so the less the better.
This bolded part actually sums up perfectly what I want/expect from KD too. I actually already feel confident we can get stops, I didn't at all feel confident this past season that we could get a bucket if we needed one.
Your takes are mostly proven to be wrong as an ex-Jalen stan. You can try to be silent when your takes are garbage.
