But what about marching Maldy out there for more than 80% of starts despite him not hitting, not catching, not throwing, and not framing?

Asking about the last 2 years of his contract isn't trashing him in anyway.

Thanx Altuve proving me wrong again. Others, ask advice from Paredes. Dude tired Taillon for Altuve and overall got him out of the game by himself. :) Cubs booth marveling at Paredes AB's.

This is all I was trying to say, not trying to bash him.

It was tolerable and understandable and I don't ever want to see it again.

I just want one more run so that Abreu or Hader don't have any pressure if a man gets on base.

Hopefully Joe has enough sense to only use Abreu and Hader. Hell maybe just Hader.

The last play on D. We have been on Walker's case for reason but we also remember time when guys just watched those go by to the "hole" on 1st base. For him standard play. Hopefully bat gets going.

Scary thing is that Christian Walker is somehow doing twice as good as Jose Abreu... so this is an upgrade.

    Abreu 2024 OPS
    .361

    Walker 2025 OPS
    .643

Biggio had 2.1 War his age 39 season and positive war in his age 40 season. It wasn’t until his last year at age 41 that he wasn’t a credible big league guy anymore. I was fine with him taking a victory lap and getting his retirement gifts and ovations everywhere as on 2007 we sucked. Biggio had 7.9 WAR from his age 35 season on. Altuve is at negative war in his age 35 season. I would stab a homeless man for Altuve to be as good as Biggio was from age 35-40.
