The last manager we had who I thought was actually pretty decent was Phil Garner. I questioned AJ and Dusty a lot. But Espada has to be one of the worst I've seen.
Yeah I know it’s bad when my wife walks by, sees it and says “Their coach, the bald guy is a ****ing moron.”
We talked on our pod about it. He’s basically got 9 guys on offense and an impossible to fail with bullpen. he makes 3 decisions a week basically and it’s always wrong when he does. This is an exceedingly easy team to manage. Not because it’s awesome but because there’s not a lot of options or decision points.
6-man rotation I assume starting after the off day Monday going through the ASB.... No idea why you'd throw LMJ right back out there, though. And this has nothing to do with the results of his game tonight.
I think most fans who really follow the team were not confident in Lance tonight. Just one of those pattern recognition things.
Every manager in the history of baseball has made decisions that cost his team. But when you see them happening before the results, it's a different thing.
Lance isn't the same dude. The only teams he's pitched well against are awful offenses. Bring back Costanza.
Not like this- that decision to let McCullers face Tucker was on par with when Mitch McConnell froze for 45 seconds or when Biden forgot he was at the debate. It was bad… Espada doesn’t have the excuse of senility and the front office offered for the pitching coach to make the call on in game pitching and Espada said no… so this is all on Joe.
His fastball is gone, it’s not even #2-3 quality for him, it’s 4th and has to literally catch hitters sitting on another pitch… let him go to the pen and once a week just spam his hammer for an inning.
