OP could save this thread by adding the word "garbage" to the thread title

Fair enough, then this is incredibly stupid. Cam Whitmore had nothing to do with what "style" the Rockets played last season and he'll have nothing to do with what "style" the Rockets play this season no matter if he's on the team or not.

So, apparently you went back and read my previous post and now you can comprehend what I'm saying.

At this point, I think the Rockets are moving backwards. The starting unit is primarily made up of half court players; Sengun, FVV, KD and Jabari to a certain extent.

That leaves only Amen, Tari and Cam as the only athletic players on the roster.

So, if Cam is traded, that means we are going to be a SLOW IT DOWN, DEFENSIVE TEAM....Which means we are going towards a 90's brand of basketball and that's NOT going to equate to a Championship.

Oh, i had always read it, I just assumed you were lying rather than being laughably stupid. If I'm honest, I still think you're a liar because the angle where you're just being stupid makes no sense.

The ONLY change to the team's athleticism among players that actually see time on the court is Jalen being out and KD being in.

Dillon Brooks is not a highly athletic player and Cam doesn't play.

The funny thing is that what you are crying about is the Rockets improving their offense by dumping 2 low TS% guys in Dillon and Jalen and replacing them with higher TS% players in Jabari and KD.... you know, the opposite of "90's ball"

Nothing of what you are saying makes sense! I think your words are coming out of the hole.....which makes you a complete ASS! But Im quite sure you've heard that before.

If you can't see that KD, Sengun and FVV are half court players and that the Rockets are going to play to their strengths, I don't know what else to say.

There is almost no correlation to a team's pace and winning the title. The 80's Lakers vs Celtics is example of 2 different paces with similar successes.

My vote is: Slower & methodical. Yes I admit I'd rather watch fast athletes to slow plodders. Its to make a point that a slower offense isn't itself a cause for concern.

The key word used is "identity". Its either the coaching knows their philosophy, and knows how players can fit it. Or it's adjusting the system to the player's strengths. Neither of those is better or worse. Is about getting best fit of players to execute the scheme properly. The D'antoni teams, MDA had "set shorter rotations" cuz he believed the consistent predictability made things more cohesive. Sounds like it's helping build a "team identity" as much as it's creating a scheme

The Jalen Green / Udoka talk, was that Udoka was not maximizing Jalen's strength. "Forcing" Jalen to be something he's not. Which also factors down to the other athletic players not "schemed" properly either.

I don't think I buy that. The Silas Rockets played super fast his 1st 2 years, then played slow his last year when it was Sengun in place of Christian Wood. It wasn't any different result, was the same overall offense & defense efficiency all Silas years. Even MDA teams had much SLOWED pace with Chris Paul. Which was greatest reg season team in team history. Then went back to super fast pace with Russell Westbrook.. So even recent Rockets teams don't show much proof of faster pace being the best pace, it shows the opposite even

I do like that dude (not Dr John but Dr Somebody) waited until post#8 or so to bring out a totally esoteric stat that just destroyed OP's entire premise. It was brilliant.
