Unless the Cubs win the WS this year, they were fleeced. Tucker will sign elsewhere after this season
my only gripe with the trade is they traded away a lefty bat. a VERY GOOD lefty bat. but they traded away already knowing they locked up yordan. however, they did not anticipate yordan to be out half the year. smh too bad paredes nor smith are lefty.
Cubs lineup can mash. Half their regular hitters have an OPS above .800. We need to get to their pitchers, especially their bullpen. I'd almost rather have George Constanza pitch on Saturday than Lance.
I think resting walker could be OK . He had a tricky injury to start the year. Bring him back in a platoon role with Singleton , maybe 50/50 . Then depending on how both perform alter the matchups . Last year John was overall pitiful ops .450 against lefties , however , he was near .600 ops vs lh starters. This year , walker is hitting lefties worse than rigthies. This season walker is .400 ops vs lh ! Last year Singleton looks like a straight upgrade .
