Which is fine so long as those games are played in the playoffs.

The Rockets don't need him to be an everyday player in the regular season.

Absolutely, but the 2 teams have very different goals.

The Rockets are looking to win a championship, the Suns are looking for a narrative to get fans to show up to the games while they win 25 games a season during rebuilding.

Both teams advanced those goals with the trade.

Yes, but what if he isn't completely healthy in the post season? I know anyone can get injured, but 37 year old has a higher chance. Also, will our lineup without him in a good portion of games be able to get the 2nd seed. A 4th or 5th seed probably leads to playing OKC in the 2nd round which is not ideal.

Unless you really think Jalen Green was a huge part of our success, then there's no reason to think that a 50 win team will suddenly be crap in the games he misses. Hell we nearly won our first round playoff series with him going completely MIA.

There are risks, but in a star driven sport you sometimes have to take those risks to get one. Any team without a true half court scorer has no chance. And as risks go, we didn't give up any of our most valuable assets so it was pretty damn small.

As for OKC, if we aren't good enough to beat them it doesn't matter when we play them.

even without durant our lineup is a good team anyway thatll win plenty during regular season. we were 2 seed last year and players are getting better. Adams is healthier, amen blossomed, tari will improve, jabari will improve. durant still playing in 2/3 of the games will be a huge boost.

Sengun had a break out season and helped propell the Rockets to Post Season wins. He could have done a lot better if not being physically fouled every other play in the losses. Did you not witness the long stretches, particularly in the losses, where Sengun was being physically guard to the point of being grabbed, held and fouled where he couldn't do anything about it?

That’s all we need. And the playoffs.

I'm not saying it was a bad trade or not to get Durant, but some of y'all seem to think we would have won more games without Jalen Green last year. I don't think that is the case. And yes I think our young core will progress and improve as they age and get more experience. Just tempering expectations that Durant is some needed savior and a guy you build around. He comes in as a missing piece but not something you change your future for.

    I don't give a **** about seeding.

The Rockets had the 2 seed this past season and got embarrassed in the first round by a team that had to earn their shot in a play in game just to get to the real playoffs.

As to injury, sure it's possible, just like with any player.... but we gave up nothing of value to get KD and the current team is better even if KD never plays than the one this past season.

He played well in the playoffs, but we need him to finish strongly around the basket and to draw more shooting fouls. I'm glad he's practicing his jump shot.

This is where KD should take him under his wing, and not Jabari.....as Jabari is further away from being the guy.

The Two Man Game has to be between the Past and the Future Guy. The Time is Yao.

@zeeshan2 thanks for posting this--love me some Calvin and Rudy T. Wish we could add 1 or both to the game broadcasting team.

no one is talking about building around Durant…that is not a thing that has ever been said

We gave up Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and the 10th pick which is essentially nothing. So what changing of the future has occurred?

The future is Sengun, Amen, Sheppard, and Jabari.

All of them are still here.
