Just for laughs, and to trigger the defenders of the raging psycho running the country. Trump being Trump.

You can't make this stuff up.

In part of his lengthy rant last night he dared AOC to take the same dementia test he once did.

“AOC should be forced to take the Cognitive Test that I just completed at Walter Reed Medical Center, as part of my Physical. As the Doctor in charge said, ‘President Trump ACED it,’ meaning, I got every answer right,” Trump wrote.

Gee, how impressive for a President!

    Then he says...

“Instead of her constant complaining, Alexandria should go back home to Queens, where I was also brought up, and straighten out her filthy, disgusting, crime ridden streets, in the District she ‘represents,’

To which she finished her response with...

"Also, I’m a Bronx girl. You should know that we can eat Queens boys for breakfast. Respectfully." :p

Why *EXACTLY* does the president have is own personal social media company?
Is this not DeFacto a presidential official commentary?
Can you imagine is Obama was basically advertising for a company he owned. . . .which is what is Truth Social posts are
He is literally driving people to HIS platform . .. . for money

Larfleeze is the sole member of the Orange Lantern Corps because the very nature of the orange light of avarice, which the corps embodies, makes it impossible for anyone else to wield the orange power ring and share its power. This inability to share, stemming from the extreme greed that fuels the orange light, inevitably leads to conflict and infighting, effectively preventing the formation of a true Orange Lantern Corps beyond Larfleeze himself.

So he can control what he wants his followers to believe, while calling every other news outlet FAKE NEWS, or demanding reporters be fired, and sues networks he hates, that don't echo his beliefs, propaganda, or lies.

He needs his own outlet to spew propaganda, lies, insults, and hatred towards other non-MAGA Americans, judges, and politicians. That, and of course to brag about himself 24/7, and promote the Trump crap he sells. You get a glimpse of the depth of his madness though, when he can't control his rage, and tweets non-stop for hours. I'd say he's one sick puppy, but that's an insult to puppies.

It's not irrelevant to your point. More importantly to your point he posts more on X.

He doesn't have a monopoly on social media, it's social media bro, it's everywhere

That's like beating up a child. He is cooked, fried, functionally illiterate at this point.

I'd like to see the tech broverlords etc do a Jeopardy style contest.

Like, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Zuckerberg etc, all the really rich super powerful people.

I think they'd get their asses kicked! They woudln't know **** about sports, history, politics etc, They'd know nothing about pop culture or normal people stuff because they live in gilded Plato's Caves.

It would be revealing - we've invested huge amounts of power and limitless resources to what essentially amounts to - a bunch of dopes who are profoundly incurious about the world they seek to shape and couldn't survive for 5 seconds in it without a paid staff.

It's kind of scary how some of this is playing out in some part now under Trump policies and actions. From his FAKE NEWS rants, censoring terms and topics on government websites and government agencies, threats to sue networks and media outlets, to demanding reporters be fired, to limiting which reporters can attend his press conferences, to trying to dismantle Voice of America. He uses his privately owned platforms, and other right wing platforms to amplify his voice, propaganda, hate stirring, and lies, while trying to censor or seek retribution on those who aren't MAGA loyalist reporters and politicians, and dare to ask the tough questions or dare to disagree with him. Repeat the lies over and over. Discredit or threaten the truth tellers. It's the Trump way.

The Press in the Third Reich | Holocaust Encyclopedia

During the first weeks of 1933, the Nazi regime deployed the radio, press, and newsreels to stoke fears of a pending “Communist uprising,” then channeled popular anxieties into political measures that eradicated civil liberties and democracy. SA (Storm Troopers) and members of the Nazi elite paramilitary formation, the SS, took to the streets to brutalize or arrest political opponents and incarcerate them in hastily established detention centers and concentration camps. Nazi thugs broke into opposing political party offices, destroying printing presses and newspapers.

Sometimes using holding companies to disguise new ownership, executives of the Nazi Party-owned publishing house, Franz Eher, established a huge empire that drove out competition and purchased newspapers at below-market prices. Some independent newspapers, particularly conservative newspapers and non-political illustrated weeklies, accommodated to the regime through self-censorship or initiative in dealing with approved topics.

The Propaganda Ministry aimed further to control the content of news and editorial pages through directives distributed in daily conferences in Berlin and transmitted via the Nazi Party propaganda offices to regional or local papers. Detailed guidelines stated what stories could or could not be reported and how to report the news. Journalists or editors who failed to follow these instructions could be fired or, if believed to be acting with intent to harm Germany, sent to a concentration camp. Rather than suppressing news, the Nazi propaganda apparatus instead sought to tightly control its flow and interpretation and to deny access to alternative sources of news.
