I know you're prone to emotional responses, so please, let me explain my post. A year ago when many people were calling for recession, Adoo and Astros123 were proclaiming the economy was awesome and going great ... because the stock market was at all time highs. In hindsight, the people who were calling on struggling economic times were more right - Democrats largely lost due to economic reasons. Why is adoo and astros123 not rejoicing now that the markets are hitting all time highs?
The truth is that just about everyone has made it hard for black people. When I travel to China I hear a lot of racist comments about black people and I have seen confrontations. Once I heard Ojibwa Native Americans talking **** to black people I gave up.
There is a a lot of infighting and backstabbing with Latinos - as Latinos are from vastly different backgrounds, cultures and situations economically and from a class perspective. What is more alarming to me is that the Democratic Party claimed to represent the Latino community (many don't like the term Latino) and really knew so little about it. In Mexico it is common for different classes of Mexicans to not like each other and stab each other in the back. Class is a real thing in Mexico and goes back to Columbus. There is differences between light skinned and dark skinned - more European and more Native American. Also - there are massive differences between Cubans and Mexicans, and Venezuelans and Mexicans etc. There are a lot of Mexican Americans I know that do not like Venezuelans coming into the USA. They have very different cultures and political backgrounds. Also - for 100 years Mexican Americans were told they had to acculturate, and they had to not be Mexicans first. That has largely happened in the USA, with many Mexican Americans having almost no connection to Mexico - they view themselves as different than Mexicans and Venezuelans coming over now. There are also economic reasons, they do not want to have to compete with new cheap labor - they do not want to be lumped with new immigrants and do not want to be viewed as lower on the socio-economic ladder or social order. There is a lot going on - and it isn't always as simple as some people think.
Most Americans are completely fine with legal immigration and those who go through the correct process. And these same people also believe it takes way too long (often 25+ years) for them to go through the system. So explain to me in your twisted mind why you believe illegal immigrants should be pushed to the front of the line AND expedited while completely ignoring everyone else who has done the process legally? Let me explain it for you - You don't think at all, much less for yourself, and you require 'authorities' to do your thinking. Stop thinking everyone is racist because they want processes followed.
The Iranians and Saudi's absolutely hate each other - they are the two competing powers in the Middle East. They have had a proxy war for decades against each other. It isn't surprising that Saudi Arabia would side with Israel and against Iran at the government level. Now - if the people of Saudi Arabia had a say, they would not be supportive at all of Israel. I do not know if Iran had a nuclear bomb or was really a week away as claimed by Israel. What I do know is that the last time US intelligence spoke on the topic, they said that Iran did not have a bomb - perhaps they lied to the US people or had bad intelligence. I also know that Israel has strong intelligence but also have a strong incentive to lie to get the US involved. The early reports are that Iran's nuclear facility was not destroyed. This story (for good or bad) is far from over.
Blacks are gifted at worship and celebration. If you go to a black church, you see people jumping up and down because they really get into it. Whites are good at organization. You guys do a good job of building businesses and things of that nature, and you know how to tap into money. Hispanics were gifted in family structure, and you can see a Hispanic person, and they can put 20, 30 people in one home. The Japanese and other Asians are inventive, and "can turn a television into a watch. Having lived mexico the past 3 years, I have a story: my spanish tutor (mid 40s mexican male) flatly denied that racism exists in today's Mexico. 5 minutes later he mentioned the good things about his city, guadalajara. The weather, the food, the culture...and the women who are far better looking than the dark-skinned women from the south. Seeing my mouth wide open, he clarified, "no it's true, I mean it's just the color of their skin, it's not attractive, this is not a question of debate"
Yeah - I have traveled a lot and have learned that racism and sexism and classism is everywhere, and it far from unique to the "white establishment" in the USA. It is a real problem, but it is very deeply rooted in humans.
The "protestant work ethic" existed before Protestants even existed. It is also largely a myth. Slavery, exploitation and abundant natural resources play a big part in the founding and success of the United States. Yes - we all can be gathered in chains and be forced to work for pennies for those that control the factories and form armies. Yes, this would be absolute hell for the vast majority of people - but I think most know the Libertarian agenda. This is so naive.
He said we didn't know if Iran had a nuclear progam. I dont trust anything CNN reports and they're the only source that I can find that says we didn't destroy Iran's nuclear program. Did you here Hegseth today? He wouldn't have been so strong in his belief that the Iranian nuclear program was destroyed at those sites if they didn't have some type of reliable intelligence saying it was destroyed. There was a nuke inspector that I heard say he thinks those sights were destroyed. Also I doubt they moved the 60% enriched uranium but I guess it's possible that they did. If they moved the uranium you can bet Israel knows where they moved it too.
