So this raises the question: if we are not going to run plays for that position and only ask that player to stand in the corner and make 3s at 35%, what is the going rate for that player?
I wouldn't go that far, but I'm not going after the town bike or anyone I know lived the Cassie life.
You expected a teenager to come in and shoot lights out in the nba? I bet he's better than a 35% shooter next season. Reed Sheppard was one of the best shooters in college history and even he struggled last season just shooting. Give the kids some time,
I agree. For me, they are who they are at some point - then it becomes about how much do we have to pay to extend him. I thought we overpaid a bit for Jalen's extension. For Jabari, I want to see < $25 Million/ year on an extension. He isn't a max player. He is a role player who will be lucky to sniff an all-star game once in his career. He is valuable because he will be able to fill multiple roles, so worth more than a mid level exception salary, but less than a Trey Murphy.
I’m just asking if you need to invest in someone who, after three years, hasn’t performed to even an average level the main skill that got him drafted. When it’s time to offer an extension we need to assume that either he can’t do it, or we don’t have the ability to extract it. If all we are going to ask is that he stand in the corner, we can get that a lot cheaper than $25-30M I see predicted around here. And Reed had a phenomenal shooting year once. He was good in HS, not outstanding, and pretty pedestrian here. He’s still got time, but that “best shooter in college history” career you are talking about is looking to consist of one outlier year.
I guess so... I am a risk adverse person. Many of the diseases these trash have aren't curable. The math never made sense to me... like playing russian roulette...
Totally understand how rare to find in a woman these days. If you prioritize having a good time I won't judge. You are the one paying the price with a disease or child support. Life is full of risks. I know I'm in the minority trying to avoid them.
Not just "rare." Literally where I'm from the only people I could ever sleep with as a man of 41 years of age who is still a virgin close to my age is going to be a super religious person, and even then the only ones I've met who were actual virgins in their late 30's/early 40's were from overseas (both African, but different countries.) Both of those women were completely incapable of having an adult relationship, because they'd never had one. But you value their "purity" (laughable) or whatever more than the emotional maturity of a woman who's actually had a relationship at some point, and might actually treat somebody like a decent human? I'm past the point in my life where I need to be going through all the growing pains of somebody in the relationship having to figure all of that out for the first time - great that you got to do that with somebody and it last, but where I am that's not been typical since the 1970's, which is literally half a century ago.
I wasn't discussing 40 year olds... Wasn't discussing purity, just not sloppy seconds full of someone else's problems. You may be into to going where every man has gone before... I find that repulsive.... To each his own though...
Fam, wtf are y'all talking about? This is the KD thread right? Or did I take a wrong turn at the light and end up on the weird side of town?
Nah you said slept with anybody else, having sex with a few people is not "sloppy seconds." You sound like you're about 80 years old tbh.
Dude thinks it's weird/wrong to have sex with somebody if they've had sex with somebody else. I guess curiosity just peaked because that's ANCIENT ways of looking at things where I'm from. Like older than my parent's generation, and they're retired lol.
I'll take it as a compliment. My point was that it's not difficult to find women in their 20s who haven't slept around. Try looking at churches instead of clubs...
Ancient ways had no cure for syphilis and you died in your 40s. Just saying it's not worth the risk to me. I'm very left brain. I don't drink alcohol for the same reason. I didn't say weird or wrong, just not something I would do. You're welcome to roll the dice on chlamydia, herpes, syphilis, ghonneria, etc. To each his own...
[Valuable Advice] Listen, finding a good woman sex partner is like shopping for a used car. It's not the mileage that should concern you. It's whether the car can still run. Whether it still has some giddyup. GOOD DAY
If you're not into women who havent had sex my guess is you are looking for a wife/partner? Focusing on the sex part when you want a long term relationship is just asking for a divorce down the road. The virginity thing ends on the first night and then what? Your focus should be on the person's personality, attitude and values cuz you'll be stuck with her instead of whether she has a V card or not. Anyway this is offtopic already lol.
He shot 45% in the playoffs. He is a better shooter than is indicated the problem is he gets very few shots. He gets only 9 attempts a night thats not a lot of shots for someone who averages 30 mins a game. With such low attempts its hard for him to get in rhythm. A lot of people say ft% is a good indication of 3 pt percentage. Well Bari is shooting 82% from ft which are elite nos for a big man. If he got more looks then his nos will go up. Actually this may be a another benefit of losing Jalen Green, I love the guy but he has low bball IQ and has bad vision so the ball doesnt get passed around when he has the ball. With JG gone more shots for everyone else including Jabari.
