I wouldn't give them all of the youth, but yeah I'd probably do say FVV (needs it for the salary, we'd have to pick up the option to make it work regardless I think) Bari and Cam with some picks. That'd genuinely make OKC look underwhelming, the talent level would be astronomical in the starting lineup.

I think other than maybe using the MLE, the Rockets are done for now.

It makes sense to go into the season and give the young guys a chance and see how the team responds. If they dont like something then they make an in season trade.

Give Reed and Cam a chance. If they play up to their capabilities this team has everything they need already.

True there’s no guarantee for anything. It’s just a matter of the brass thinking this is the best calculus that leads to potentially winning a title. If they determine that the reward outweighs the risk then they will execute. It all depends on whether they think this current team is good enough and they most probably already made this determination. It’s obvious they didn’t think last year’s team was good enough. I don’t necessarily agree with this trade but I have a feeling they will execute this trade given the opportunity.

 

They’re going to want a better package than that. Cam is the bottom of our assets. They’re probably goin to ask for Sengun Tari and Reed.

and the other thing is listening to their Locked On media, the hosts indicated that the Bucks would most likely go after an Amen oriented package over Sengun because Amen is the archetype they’d familiar and comfortable with. So you probably can keep Sengun and build a package around Amen which would obviously mean more of the young asset like Jabari and Reed

 

There's no cap space for him because his Nuggets Championship performance put him into that more elite tier. I think he commands more than guys like Jeff Green. Bruce is an undersized wing that plays more like a traditional 4.

 

Unfortunately the run of good fortune for the Spurs and now Mavericks has expedited the situation. The Spurs are on the brinks of reigniting another juggernaut team. The Mavericks just dumb lucked themselves into a sky is the limit player…

If the Rockets let this team flourish as it was last year, they may still be 2 years away. At which point the Spurs might be dominating, if the projections go as planned. Also the Mavericks might be kicking dust with the plethora of talented players they figure to have.

Rockets figure with Durant on board, that he gives them a chance to match up with OKC next season. If the Rockets flounder, they should be able to run it back with Durant 2 more times. But by that time it may be more like catching lightning in a bottle.. Unless Reed Sheppard shows us what the Rockets see in him….

After watching OKC the media still pushing this super team narrative is laughable. The Rockets shouldn't mortgage their assets for a few years of Giannis/KD drama stories guys like Windhurst can report on.
