    1) Assets for trade
    2) A second round pick salary is less than vet min when it comes to those last roster spots. Pennies but hey it helps when you add the additional penalties.
    3) Sometimes you find a diamond in the near undrafted

Listening to the latest locked on rockets episode on youtube and the suns guy is super high on kd and called him their best defender last year.

Had to go look up the Stats and the stats dont disagree with his eye test. He also said he's still really good moving laterally on defense.

Then i just started looking at other stats for the Suns and kd was their best player overall and its not even close.

I think some might be underestimating how good this guy still is because he was on a bad Suns team. This was a heist by Stone.

I think if this trade was done at last deadline Rockets easily go to the wcf with a good shot at beating the Thunder. The difference between this team with Jalen vs KD is going to be immense even if no other moves are made.

What stands out to me is that 3 of the top 4 play for Denver--the Jokic Effect.

Also, we now have a guy on that list.

If we improve out offensive sets, Sengun recovers his touch, and we let our high IQ guys cook, we should have three guys in the top 20 or so.

36-37 is the new 32. Guys don’t fall apart the way they use to. I see KD still dominating till he’s 40. Like Lebron.

You know, whats funny is that if you look at nba players in the past they even look older than a lot of players today.

Drexler was traded here at 32

Supposedly hes 27 there, but i dont know for sure. What I know for sure is he's younger than 32 there lol

For ppl also worried about games missed. He’s been on crap teams, he will take time off for games that don’t matter anymore. If he gives us 65 games. No injury and some load management. I’m cool

I do not ever want to see Tari taking another day off on back to backs.

No, they still fall apart, but there are more exceptions that can transition from athleticism based to skill based which extends careers. Vince Carter wouldn't have made it to 43 unless he had that elite 3 ball and if he hadn't accepted lesser and lesser roles.

With KD, his length and shooting ability suggest he could make it further than most before he is completely washed on offense.

So you don’t think Jalen can play another 20 years? :)

Five picks in the first round! There's no way they keep all those picks. But I'm not sure what we'd trade for them. I bet they trade at least two an possibly three of those picks. You can't have 3 first round players even on a team as bad as the Nets.

I wouldn't be surprised if KD went to #Rockets and said, I want to come there but with 2-3 solid seasons left probably, wanted assurances they would build a real contender from the jump. Curious if he feels what we have is that or if he is pushing for more.

Hey! I liked some of those small years… I mean we had Yao and Dikembe some of that time… also I defend the 6’5” center to the death! lol

That said… this 6’11 line up will be fun to see if it’s defensive ability is as good as it looks on paper and they are shooting over and through smaller defenders.
