I keep thinking this (probably bias, most likely not), but Houston does the best parades. We pack out downtown like no body's business when it comes to the big sports league championship. Wish UH could've experienced it last season... really hope for Texans and some more for the Rockets (it's been awhile). Enjoyed it with the Astros (wish for more).

If the offer was Garland & Allen, it would prove the Suns are unserious about winning.

It would be a tough trade to complete, but that's the kind of offer that puts your team in contention.

They could have offered a team like ATL 2 SRPs to take on Grayson's contract = under the apron like a hiding toddler.

Maybe someone addressed it but what is the point of trading 5 second round picks? I get there is some value there, but seriously?

Sweetner for other teams to move of off contracts like Grayson Allen, O'Neal, Martin... maybe DB (but supposedly their new coach loves DB's mentality)

my understanding is that they are keeping Brooks. Culture and defense; basically why we got him in the first place.

I think u are right about the 2nd rounders. It was explained to me by plugged in Suns fans that they need the draft capital because that’s the currency of the nba to make moves. They have so little of it. It was better to have more depth of draft capital than quality. They did the same thing last season when they diluted the return for their 2031 pick they traded to Utah for 3 late 1st round picks. They are still hoping they can attach picks to get off Beal. But they aren’t gonna attach a premium asset to get off Beal. I suspect they will use a combo of their crappy late 1st rounders and these 2nds. Getting off Beal is even more important now that they are rolling the dice on Jalen Green, who plays the same position.

Gonna look crazy on the court when Rockets roll out the following:

    PG - Amen Thompson (6-7)
    SG - Kevin Durant........(6-11)
    SF - Jabari Smith Jr.......(6-10)
    PF - Alperen Sengun....(6-11)
    ..C - Steven Adams.......(6-11)

Cause you know that's gonna be a thing.

Because Silver will step in and make those picks close to 1st round picks.

Durant is currently # 8 on the all time scoring list. Three seasons with us and he should pass Kobe for # 4.

Just something fun to watch our future HOFer accomplish.

Yep. It is really tough to move contracts that exceed the NT-MLE. Atlanta and Brooklyn likely want FRPs (better than what Phoenix has, except the No. 10) for every $15-20M of salary moved for no returned salary. Considering Brooks is only Sun that can guard PFs (well guard anyone),I just don't think it would be easy to find someone with an equivalent salary that fits better.

This was a very stupid trade for Phoenix.

All of these rumors about other teams’ offers are so disingenuous. The Minny offer was not ultimately on the table, nor the Raptors, nor the Cavs because KD didn’t want to go there. In the end it was just cheap ass Pat Reilly and us. Frankly the Suns are lucky they got what they did. KD shrank his market. Stars have been doing this for well over a decade now. It happened to us.
