We don't need any SGs or this year's late draft picks. What we need is to playing time for Cam and Reed to see if they have what it takes or not. If not, then we need to dump them for a deeper team.
Tari Eason and filler for Derrick White. Who says no? Celtics can save even more money and get younger while Rox fill the hole at SG.
NATE SUCKS!!! If he plays any meaningful minutes we vecome a lottery team with no pick next year. Worst player I have ever seen wear the Rockets uniform.
I know these are doctored highlights, but what I see in this clip is Cam can pass, now will he? I don't know, but Jalen Green averaged 2 assists or something like that. I see he can play a little defense straight up on ball, he does gamble a lot, but if he just hustles the whole time he's on the court I think people may have a different opinion on him. The main skills he has going for him though. 1) he's pretty damn good at getting down hill and taking contact. 2) He has a sweet stroke from 3. Whether it's creating on his own or catch and shoot. I think he deserves a big chance to prove himself with a more defined role. Even if it's 10 to 15 minutes off the bench this year. Remember the rumors were teams were trying to trade for Cam. Hopefully Udoka can teach this young man and his game evolves.
You think 10 minutes off the bench is his big chance? He’s averaged more than 15 minutes in both of his previous years. He needs to be getting 26-28 minutes a night.
Cam's got all the tools, and physically, guards like SGA don't even look for an "elbow jumper" against him. Cam's too strong to be pushed off his spots. In that late-season game against OKC, SGA scored 51. Cam only guarded the MVP for 2:47 in that matchup (giving up 1-3 FGA). Also in these highlights, Cam takes boards away from Chet and scores through contact. Those are all big pluses in Cam's favor. However, the Rockets have narrowed their developmental window for younger players. All of our young core will need to mature because the pressure to win now is real. For Cam, it's all about consistency and being productive every night.
I'm not sure KD could play shooting guard when he was young. I'm not even sure he should play small forward at this stage of his career. He's not quick enough to guard those guys anymore. I also don't think Tari can really play shooting guard. I think it's more realistic to see Tari playing small ball big minutes than guard minutes. My expectation is that Amen and Fred will start at guard, and that Amen will guard whoever the bigger offensive threat is. Cam and Reed should be our backup guards. And, if Stone can renegotiate Fred's contract in a way to get us under the second apron, I expect they'll use the taxpayer MLE on another guard for insurance.
True, but we all know that the minutes last year, were not consistent. I mean a consistent this is my role 20 to 25 minutes will help him either prove that he has it or not to me. Give him a longer leash. That's all. My bad on the minutes I guess you don't realize minutes while watching games.
I would love to see Cam get his head on straight and be able to maximize his skill set. He's like a freight train when he drives to the basket and he bullys the hell out of everyone in his path. He just can't seem to stay positive. If his attitude were like Amen's we would be wondering who was better.
With our length in the front court we can run a FVV/Reed back court. We're similar to Cleveland now. That length in the front court is going to cause teams a LOT of problems. 60 wins minimum expected. And the best part is we don't need 25 from KD to do it.
That's the good cam. The bad cam. Stand. Jab step. jab step. Nothing happens. 7 seconds elapse. Pass back out or contested shot that misses.
