I mean- if all that happens we aren't anywhere close to even with Detroit in the AL- we are the clear favorite (pluratlity b/c with 6 teams nobody gets to 50.1%) to win the pennant. Even if only 1/2 of that happens I think we are still the betting line favorites going into the tournament.
Describing Jake Meyers, who is on pace for 4+ fwar: “his ceiling is quite low”. LOL no. Other than that I agree with it all. We are on track for an underwhelming deadline and I’m cool with it.
Meyers 20 RBIs is perplexing at the halfway mark in the season. Starting to wonder if batting 2nd is where he belongs. He's getting on base.
Yes I'm fine with that. But it's time to stop trotting out 4 AAA starters every 6 starts. We can't sustain that. We're fortunate we are correctly sitting where we are.
I think its missing a word (don’t mean to talk for him) and that word is offensive ceiling 97 iso is pretty gross.
Astros picked up Wes Clarke from the Brewers a slugging 1B Prospect https://www.mlb.com/player/wes-clarke-682265?stats=career-r-hitting-minors&year=2025 DD
I don't mind him batting 2nd. However, do not put him and Altuve back2back. That's 2 outs in 2 pitches.
I'm hoping for a Donovan or Castro type trade and I know this won't happen but extend Framber. Guys have come and gone, but Framber has been the innings eating rock that has allowed this run to be sustained
Fred VanVleet gets $40 mil per year in a league that has a salary cap. $40 mil per in baseball terms is going to be a bargain once Pena hits free agency.
Salty hasn’t risen to that level for all but the best of the best. you want to be in the going to arbitration business with 30 year old Not giving him 10/300 business with 31 year old Pena. Ho Hum yawn.
