They already were a No. 2 seed, but that was mostly based on their defense. The reason they didn’t have a run in the postseason was largely because of their offense. Well, they just went out and acquired one of the greatest offensive players of all-time, and specifically one who’s terrific at generating his own jump shots from mid-range and long-range, which is the area they were weakest in.

They were able to do it without giving up any of the players they want to build around. So, while KD is at a different age range than so many of their players, but it won’t affect the development of those guys. I think you’re heading into next season looking at the Rockets as a prime contender to the Thunder repeating as champions.

And they have some offseason work to do, where they could reshape their roster even more. Most importantly, if a star player becomes available, they are still armed and ready to make a major swing at another star, if that’s what they deem the best move

I don't expect another trade for a star, but I totally agree it's on the table.

If Giannis is available, the Rockets will be in the mix for him because the two 1st round picks in 2027 (Suns pick + a swap with the Nets) are golden nuggets.

I want to take this year to see what we have in Reed and Cam, and to see if the rest of our young guys can take a big step forward. We’re finally in an excellent situation. We have a chance to win now without mortgaging our future. I wouldn’t want to gamble that to go star chasing. KD could go down, Fred could be washed, Reed Shepherd could become Steve Nash. lots of factors that can change our near-term outlook. I say hold onto our assets and let’s find out how good this team really is.

I would trade Cam and Reed instantly if it meant getting Giannis.

Sure, I would too. But obviously it would take a lot more than Cam and Reed. I’m just saying I’d really like to know how good we can be with the guys on our roster now that we finally have an elite scoring option. We may be set for years to come or we may need to make some changes going forward, but I just want to see what this team can do before trading away any of the remaining core. KD is going to make it much easier on everybody.

It has to be an elite star. We don't want to become a team of wingmen when Durant retires.

This should be the team other than small moves until Ant asks out. He’s the only one worth a Godfather type offer.

Anthony Edwards is on the clock….. I have a feeling we will start to hear Giannis to Houston rumors soon. Maybe Stone could somehow flip FVV into Trae Young.

It should be everyone's wish to age as gracefully as Hannah Storm. Just turned 63 last week.

Stone woke up and said **** Presti. Honestly if you want to add some avengers squad in the west, it’s now. Lose Sengun tho?

amen is the franchise, that’s off negotiations.

Any will demand a trade next June. He wants to be in the south. ATL or Miami.

I could also see lakers sending a 2nd and Reaves to get him. Done deal.

How is a max player like Giannis going to be the answer over having a SG and PG? Maybe we have Sengun play point then because yeah.

What I suspected. Bring in a star to lure in another star. Giannis already said he wants to play with another star. Do not be surprised if Sengun is moved along with Bari/Tari or Reed for Giannis in a 3 team deal
