Retaliation has started. Iran is now going to target US bases in the Middle East. Missiles fired towards US bases in Qatar and Iraq.

JD Vance: We Trust Our 'Instincts' Over US Intelligence Agencies

VANCE: Oh of course we trust our intelligence community but we also trust our instincts and most importantly we trust what the intelligence was telling us about the Iranian stonewalling the negotiation.

I think that is really the hidden story here and something the media has got to report a little bit more here is that the Iranians stopped negotiating in good faith. That was the real catalyst I think to what the president ultimately decided to do

US strikes a nuclear facility containing no uranium. Iran strikes back by hitting a US military base containing no soldiers or crucial assets.

All to appease our zionist lap dog.

    Let's add some facts here:

    1. Trump every 10th day or so gets the President's "Daily" Brief, which notoriously has to be shorten to a half of a page in order from him to finish reading before his attention wanders.
    2. Netanyahu wanted the Iran Peace negotiations to fail, to benefit his own politics.
    3. Trump considers Netanyahu a close ally.
    4. The US slow walked the Iran Peace talks, which must have pleased Netanyahu.
    5. US Intelligence likely has a fairly light opinion on if the Iranian were stonewalling the negotiations.
    6. Tulsi Gabbard stated that the US intelligence does not believe that the Iranians were actively building a nuclear bomb.
    7. Trump has said that Gabbard was wrong.
    8. Netanyahu wanted Trump and the US military to bomb Iran nuclear facilities, which the Israeli military could not attack.

I can deduce that Trump does not know or care what the US intelligence services think. Trump as a personal favor to Netanyahu bombed Iran. And Trump is now lying to the American people about the why.

You keep clearing out the Gaza strip, and if that takes killing those seeking food and bombing more hospitals I don't care. I will never join those accusing you of war crimes. I want to turn that strip into a riviera for a big beautiful Trump hotel. I'll go in and help you bomb Iran in return. But, I'm going to play the peacemaker.

Iran's retaliation seems pretty much symbolic in nature and a clear indication for a desire to de-escalate. They were launched at an air base with the same number of missiles as the US dropped on the nuclear facilities. Both Qatar and US were given plenty of warning prior to launch. Iran clearly did not want to kill US soldiers.

This is the best possible outcome if US and Israel both accept de-escalation and that immediate regime change is not likely with only air strikes. Going back to the state it was prior to last week's attack, but with Iran's nuclear program pushed back significantly would be a great (and most likely IMO) outcome.

Worst case is if Trump retaliates or Israel keeps on bombing Tehran demanding total surrender or immediate regime change. Forcing Iran into a corner with no escape route could eventually lead the necessity of a ground invasion which would be catastrophic.

Yeah reports show Iranian fighting capacity has been completely diminished....Israel destroyed their stockpiles of missiles during the first few days of the operation.

    Iran has nothing left

They needed Cialis for their rocketry.

Iran can’t win because its population advantage has been neutered by a lack of air superiority and no meaningful deterrence to the psychopath Israelis.
Iranians deserves the humiliation they are going to endure.

This reminds me of that mosquito I keep swatting away when I'm brushing my pool. And, it keeps coming back because it is just so blood thirsty and can't help itself...until I eventually squash it.

It's a major assumption we would be making to assume their nuclear program has been disabled with the strikes. Don't see how Israel and the US could accept the job is done without putting feet on the ground or a regime collapse,

Even if you telegraph your response, and hit lightly, simply by telling your people and the world you hit the U.S., you've escalated the situation. It would take a major ego check for the U.S, to take that on the cheek.

Huh? Reporting shows their nuclear program is in tact.... the centrifuges at both facilities are in tact and they still have the enriched uranium....this was all for theater

It just boggles the mind how you would let them walk out the Uranium and whatever equipment. I don't get it.
