Via trade. I don’t think a 31 yrs old Smart make too much sense for Washington to keep. But can be good for us, if I remember correctly, he played for Ime during his Boston days. A good defender, make sense for us to trade for him to balance our roster a little bit.

I wasn’t all that keen on getting Durant - I had actually warmed to the idea of Giannis over Durant BUT we really didn’t give up as much as I thought we would. So the fact that we were able to keep both Jabari and Reed is win-win. Now we have to pray that Durant can stay reasonably healthy and that Cam Whitmore gets an attitude adjustment. Sheppard should progress nicely with more playing time. Great trade for our Rockets - we now have had all of the Thunder’s big 3 play for us, lol.

 

No it's not false comparison. Nor disrespectful. I thought Holiday should have played more in the playoffs. Main difference in Holiday to Sheppard, is Sheppard is expected to do a little more, cuz he was drafted as an upside #3 pick. He's feeling his way as a 20 year old. While Holiday played 3 years in college, game more matured. He knows "what he is", and mostly plays within his limitations

I don't think Reed is a true "#3 pick prospect", maybe 7-10 spots higher than he should normally be. But he had rare combo in college of being a great 3 point shooter on offense, and elite steals rate on defense. Can see why he has intriguing "2 way" potential to fill out despite physical measurables. The great shooting has made an appearance the most important trait, after looking hopeless. What says he can't fill out the other areas?

Aaron Holiday's career high scoring game in 7 seasons is 25 points. The inconsistent Sheppard's career high in half a season of reserve minutes, is 25 points. That's what I mean by Holiday being a minimum floor.

 

This message needs to be read by every single person who is clueless and still thinks Jalen has any upside with the Houston Rockets or any team in general for what it’s worth.

We’ve given him a LOT of time to prove to us he’s our star. But respectfully he hasn’t and and we have respectfully with the honor of Wing Stop have parted ways and both parties know it’s for the best.
