No, but you have to understand you were one of the biggest Jalen apologists, receipts are in this thread even....people were saying he wasn't all that ....and folks like that were annoyingly against any criticism - you did come around in the playoffs though - so you clearly saw it, some just take longer I guess....but you were up front so kudos for that. This is what I don't understand. I'm pretty sure Apache is ... uh... was a Rockets fan before we got Jalen Green. How did he give up his loyalty to a team he was a fan of in order to be a fan of a player who isn't even that good?

People keep saying only Sengun has only player fans, but honestly, the JG cult was going strong for years. Much of the hate you see has quieted down because Sengun was such a superior player but this narrative that Sengun fans are toxic was driven by them. The all-star nod for Sengun and JG flaming out in the playoffs had them reaching for extremely weird excuses. Now Sengun has Rockets fans that resent him for proving them wrong. They are quietly waiting for him to fail but just can't say much at the moment because JG getting traded was the ultimate rebuttal. Any unbiased Rockets fan could see it.
He does, lots of them, they'll happily tell you they'll move with Sengun to whichever team he goes to. No other player has that, his fans came with him from Türkiye. Pretending otherwise is delusion at best, disingenuous at worst.
Could be worse though, I could take up for every single player who has any hint of a rumour of physical violence towards women. I am a firm believer in innocent until proven guilty - and I like the skillset that KPJ had, we still need someone that can beat others off the dribble and finish at the rim. Kudos for you for coming around though, you at least are a Rocket's first fan - where as others ....in here well...we shall see. I will extend the olive branch as you are clearly ROX first ! DD
I can understand Sengun fans from Turkey (or Europe) and Chinese fans of Yao and Lin. These are truly only-fans with good reason to support a player that represents their ethnicity. I just don't understand Rockets fans turned Jalen Only Fans. It's like they were suddenly addicted to rooting for a guy. Some Harden fans still root for Harden after he has left for years. But they did not stop rooting for the Rockets.
I think they are mostly younger - and a lot of the social media generation are attached to players and their brand over teams ..... As an old hat, it is Rox for me, but I can understand some that are players first, but hopefully they bail.....some can change theri mind like Dobizzle above....and that takes guts, IMHO. DD
One person does not make a group. I've supported the Rockets since late 60's Just two roads in the NBA, 1) big, slow center route that has won 1 championship in the last 17 years or 2) up tempo fast, run those big centers off the court 3&D, speed on the go. Rockets choose the wrong path. Get use to seeing more Jalen Green doing more of this. Getting the foul calls and all those hacks that weren't called fouls will not get called as missed FG's which kept his FG% down.
If Green beats up Draya, DD will become his biggest fan. But green is probably too much of a coward to actually hit a woman in his DDuniverse.
