https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/63...steven-adams-giannis-antetokounmpo-nba-draft/ • A handful of teams have inquired about the availability of sparingly-used wing Cam Whitmore, league and team sources said. Since being drafted with the No. 20 pick in 2023, Whitmore has struggled to entrench himself in Udoka’s tight rotation and at times has expressed his displeasure at the end of the bench, but there is still optimism about his potential and rotation spot — having shown strong periods of play over the last two seasons. At this stage, neither Whitmore nor his representation has requested a trade and both sides are hopeful of finding a solution.
Cam is as talented as anyone in this draft and he's still younger than some of them. I hope they don't give him away.
If Cam is developing, has the right attitude and working hard the right way, he needs legit real burn. Do not give him away, as players that have star potential shouldn't be taken for granted, ask Harden's OKC.
Consider Cam as your lottery pick for this season and turn him loose. Time for him to sink or swim! Better grow up fast.
KD is not needed to win a bunch of regular season games and should be load managed quite a bit. With Jalen being gone Cam is really the one natural fit at SG. He should be getting a ton a minutes this year. Hope KD can take him under his wings and talk some sense into Ime.
