It's better when you think of Jalen as a 10 day contract that barely beat Jeenathan for it

Unfortunately, the Suns are a team that doesn't operate on common sense.

The move is obviously to blow things up and collect as many young players and picks as possible. Which yeah, if I were them I'd be trying to trade BOOKER to the Rockets for Green, Reed/Cam, #10 and then flip Durant for whatever.

Even if they believe Booker is good enough to be the Guy on a championship team, they literally have nothing to give to build around him. So sort of like the Rockets still believed in Harden but ultimately, after the Westbrook trade, they shot their last bullet and had nothing else to do to give Harden another all-star running mate.

That's where PHX is now, but it sounds like they want the Minny deal to remain 'competitive' as if adding Gobert is going to do anything for that team in the West.

I think the Rockets would be willing to trade their picks back and Bari and Reed or something for Booker. Booker, Amen, Sengun, is a pretty good core.

I think too, obviously the Rockets would prefer Durant, so why help the Suns out in acquiring him? May as well give them a low ball offer and move on, if the Suns are again sucking mid season then you go to them with the big deal for Booker.

Wanted him but I’m over it. Pretty content running it back

Can we try to sign Ty Jerome off our bench please? That’s all I ask. Heard he’ll take the mid

I hope the Rockets stick to their current rumored offer of JG plus the 10th pick and not add any of the major pieces that they have. KD is past his prime and what would be the possibility that he would be able to finish out the next season given his history of injuries especially since he is turning 37 years old? What would be the team's recourse if this happens? So far, I like that the FO is not gambling too much on KD. I suggest they look for other impactful moves with a lesser chance of losing big if their gamble doesn't pan out. Gambling on KD at this point in his career is too risky in my opinion.

Are you considering that Durant has played 23 more games than Tari in the past 3 seasons?

Yes, but I'm paying Tari $3-5 Million these past few years. I'll be paying Durant $55-60+ Million.

Tari will be age 23-26 with a likely team friendly extension and he can potentially get better each year with upside. Durant will be 37-40 and has a risk of being $120 Million in dead money and will get worse each year.

Rookie extensions are much easier to work with and flexible than Durant's. We can also look for a younger star on a good contract or develop homegrown stars as we have, it's not Durant or nothing imo.

We can agree to disagree to be fair, but I'll pass on KD.

It would be smart to dangle Durant first, and act like Booker isn't going to be on the table. Trade Durant, then deal Booker.

Not that Suns are this smart.

KD deal probably enhances the Booker opportunity for the Rockets so I’m all aboard Houston not getting KD. It increases the chances of the Suns sucking and dealing Booker. Houston has zero incentive to make a move for KD if it’s not ridiculously in their terms.

It’s an obscure 1980’s pop culture reference.

Have a seat, Sonny, and learn something.

You see, back in the late 1900s, the 1980s to be exact, ‘it’ meant sex. Doing ‘it’ and going for ‘it’ meant you were going to get lucky.

It is interesting that the Rockets are seemingly operating as if they will not take the #10 pick this year. Is something lined up? Also, it seems to me that most likely candidates at that spot are wing replacements for people like Jabari, or Tari.

I’m sure they’ve had some visits that are just under the radar. I honestly believe there’s enough material out there where they probably just have a few guys are comfortable with at 10.
