****, we were shooting cans as well, and my friend just turns and shoots me at point blank range, aiming for the thigh.

I believe that where it ended up lodging itself was just more trouble than it’s worth in the surgical removal sense. it was a long time ago, and I hardly even remember.

I also have a piece of lead or graphite or whatever from a pencil where the girl stabbed me on the arm.

I think he said "I saved a lot of money on car insurance by switching to Geico".
    Yep, I'm sure of it.

Pitch was 1.08 feet from the center of the plate. Or in other words, it was closer to over the plate than the batter's box.

24 of the Angels 161 pitches were further from the plate yesterday.

I didn’t have the Astros finishing June with a 6-8 game lead in the division on my prediction list, but that’s looking like where it might end up. Mariners haven’t even been that bad individually.

A few innings later, a strike was called against Yainer that was more inside than that pitch.

Neto looked like a total goober.

Diesel got that dog in him. Fiery. You love to see it. Don't crowd the plate.

We just had one. I said that he shined his shoes with dog poop. He dropped the mic with ‘your mom is disappointed with your life’.

I looked back at that club for more nostalgia.. forgot about Jim Eisenriech who retired having Tourette's & came back. That's quite a story.

The AL "hit different" then to me. Guys like Brett & Ripken felt like "baseball culture". Separation of leagues gave it more mystique or something. I'll end it with another hanger-on we don't like talking about.. Nolan Ryan during that time period bumbling out another 5 years with 2 more no-hitters. Fun times it was

That STL/KC '85 World Series is the first one I remember watching on TV

That was a totally different style of baseball than we're accustomed to now.

The crazy guy not named Hunter. How could that possibly have had any intent? Did something else happen before that? I didn't see anything but that pitch/brawl.

Zach Neto looks like a guy who would steal your 1992 Blaupunkt car stereo.

I remember being in the Dome for Stros/Phillies, but 85 is the one I fully remember watching on TV, and I remember where my buddy and I were while watching it

I watched the whole series. My older cousin was a Royal fan for some reason. Still is. It’s the first series I understood what was going on. The year before was orioles/pirates and my memories of that are few and fleeting. Not sure why but I didn’t really watch the next one (1981) which was yankees/dodgers but I picked right back up again with Brewers/Cards in ‘82.
