doesn't really matter now. their value is their value now. side note but I never understood why Jabari was so highly projected. It didn't make sense to me. He seemed limited in college. He seemed like a role player in college that was put into a first option for his team. He played well but like watching him play, I never thought he was some amazing prospect.

"Slide Amen to SG. Add JSJ or Tari to PF.
    Backcourt upgraded.
    Defense upgraded.
Just need Amen or Sengun to become a top 10 player."

Read it as benching Brooks for Tari. Probably because how do you add a starter in Jabari to the starting lineup? He's already there...

I see you were going for Green and Amen.

Amen at the 2 is a bad idea. His defender can cheat and pack the paint. He should be initiator of offense with shooters surrounding him. Give him the Westbrook treatment....

Yes please. Other than the vocal 35 percent of Clutch fans or the 27 percent of general Rocket fans surveyed, the great silent majority of Houston Rocket and Clutchfans don't want Durant and want to move on as well I agree.

I don’t agree either definitely have more trade assets.. maybe more assets they’re willing to trade.

But the sun’s draft picks are the most valuable commodity in the league right now that is actually available. The suns have shown that they are one of the most incompetent teams in the history of the NBA and they are about to trade their best player

okc has some great young talent that I doubt they make available. Then they have a ton of drafts picks But they are not all high-level draft picks

The Rockets have more good young players than the Spurs, more veteran players that would be rotation pieces on good deals than the spurs. The Spurs have the number two pick, which, as of the next few days is one of the most valuable assets available, but if they pick him up, only goes down, especially if he struggles at all next year. Plus, they’re probably not trading that pick right now for anything. Castle was a decent player but nothing to get worked up over.

    Wemby and Amen are untouchable

Sengun is by far the best player/asset between both teams outside of them two

I doubt there is any difference in value between Bari/tari and castle

Reeds value is higher than what fans on this forum are giving him credit for. Most NBA teams are smart and know that he wasn’t played because how good the rockets were, how much depth we had and our coach. Ime even said There’s a lot of respect for Reed shepherd When asked about him being selected for the future stars team, despite hardly playing.

And the sun draft picks are valued way more than the Hawks as the Hawks have a lot of upside, and the suns literally only have downside

Jalen was a consensus top 2-3 pick. Let's not put that on the FO. Same with Jabari. If anything it's an indictment on the coaching staff or the players themselves because outside of Amen, our lottery picks have looked subpar.

Amen is the only hope. If he doesn’t blossom into a star the process will need to be repeated. They have a nice collection of high end role players at the current state.

Most lotto picks dont pan out. The goated 2021 class being one of the rare exceptions, most lotto picks just turn into role players or become busts.

Rockets have in fact been pretty good that none of their lotto picks have been outright busts. Like Jabari literally shot 45% from 3 in the playoffs, how is that bad? Jalen had a horrible playoffs but had a pretty good regular season.

Like look at OKC most people forget they used lotto picks on Pokusevski and Ousmane Dieng.

I hate this KD trade I hope he goes to another team.

I'm just confused as you are, people are talking as if this team has no future. It's that grass is greener attitude.

People see OKC and get jealous and see Spurs with Wemby and get jealous and so its this "WE ARE BEHIND!" mentality.

Fact is, no one knows ****. These same players people are down on now are the same ones who were hyping up the pick on draft day. No one around here was going "Lets take Jalen Williams at #3!" which is funny since he was drafted #12 and people are so ready to toss away a #10 pick.

People really don't appreciate the season we just had either, even though some of these same posters, not calling no names here, were "We'd be lucky to make the playoffs."

Rockets ahead of schedule, no need to panic, no need to rush, no need to make some desperation move. Every team's rebuild is their own journey and their own path.

    100% agree, Yes It's a trip.

There a some quality posters that can share with credibility and substance objectively, but as has been said by other posters 'Let's not have the memory of a goldfish'.

It's like some can't see past today and forget the progress these young players made or think they are frozen as players and can't get better next season as they have done and trending.

When you deep dive into real evidence, historical facts and data you start to understand what real value is and what we actually have and our options.

Delayed gratification is a human nature issue, perhaps it's just why many folks can't see past today.

Emotion trumps logic and facts for many. The fun of gambling short term knowing you will very likely lose it all, and then you lose it regardless and regret it for years.

"Sure Durant's contract may set us back 3-5 years or possibly put us on a treadmill after that, but it will be fun that first year!" is a terrible decision.

    or Fear:

"San Antonio or OKC may be better than us so we need to take the first star we can get, even if better opportunities can happen in the future!"

If you do the logical thing long term, the majority of the time you will increase your chances for that emotional payoff even more. Positioning yourself for better odds for a quality young star, contending team and championship the long term, smarter way. That feels great

The Suns probably say no thanks but Eason resigned to a bigger contract, along with bench guys like Holiday and Landale to match the money. Plus one of the future picks that Suns want back.

That would somewhat resolve the logjam at the forward positions when adding Durant.

I'd want to keep the #10 pick to pick up Coward or Bryant, who would be the replacement for Eason in the future.
But if the Suns demand including it for a trade for Durant, it would probably be sent.

If the Rockets are only willing to part with Jalen I don't think there's any chance we get this deal done. They aren't going to give up all the picks they own to offset Jalen's negative value. I think they'll have to include Eason or Jabari. I'd be fine giving up either, but I'd prefer to keep Jabari....also, I won't cry if the trade doesn't happen.

Yeah I agree that it's a lot but if the Rockets legitimately believe this would give them the shot at winning a championship within the next two years, I think they'd do it.

And losing only Eason from the core players (while also giving up a future asset) would be a fairly limited gamble.

Suns Believe Kevin Durant Trade Can Happen Before Draft

The Phoenix Suns believe that they will be able to trade Kevin Durant before Wednesday's NBA Draft, sources told Marc Stein of the Stein Line and Jake Fischer of The People's Insider.

It was reported earlier this week that trade talk for Durant aren't progressing as quickly as the team hoped.

Rumored recent trade frameworks involve the Raptors' No. 9 pick, the Timberwolves' pick at No. 19, or the Heat's pick at No. 20.

With the Suns looking to add a big man, the Raptors are not willing to include Jakob Poeltl in any trade.

The Heat are also not looking to include Kel'el Ware in a Durant deal.

    _____________

    Wiggins
    Robinson
    Jovic or Jaquez
    20th pick
    2030 pick
