I'm gonna laugh when Jalen is a top 5 scorer super star and The Suns are tanking to try and hopefully draft a player that can score at least half of what Jalen gives you a night.. Dumbasses...
You cannot possibly be this stupid. Please tell me you're trolling. For your sake, please. It has to be impossible to be this stupid.
Here is the thing, if you go back to those threads, people were bringing up the numbers to back it up. I don't know about elite, but he has been one of our best defenders certainly. So if you're saying he's not bad, why bring up "Derozan makes him look like a statue" or something? I watch Jabari every game too, he's not nowhere near being bad or average as a defender. He's a very good defender, that's why he played 30 mpg on one of the league's best defenses and why the defense took a hit when he got hurt. We can argue on whether or not if he's 'elite' or not. What Amen is doing is not normal for his age, being first team all defense in his 2nd year is completely insane and doesn't get talked about enough, but Bari could very well become an elite defender with more experience as is usually the case with defensive players. As for the fans thing, actually, I think going to the fanbase and getting their opinion on a player is the best scouting you're going to get. Nearly everything Toronto fans said about FVV was spot on correct. The only thing is, it's just THIS specific Rockets forum that says these things about Jabari. Sam roots against the guy for whatever reason and then you had Sengun fans who would also push the narrative that he sucks, can't do nothing, etc etc. One flat out said they hated him and would never root for him because of that one time he screamed at Sengun for missing a defensive assignment. KD brought up because some people think he's worth trading for KD. Dirk was brought up because of the claim that you can't dominate while not being able to dribble. If Jabari becomes a sniper, then he'd clearly be able to do that. Dirk actually did not have a lot of skills outside of just being an elite shooter and shooting over people and being big, he's not close to as athletic as Bari, wasn't this fantastic playmaker, like his entire game was I can shoot over you and you can do nothing about it. Bari's go to move is also a mid range jumper, just like Dirk. This isn't "JABARI WILL BE DIRK!!!!" it's just a case of showing how a PF with little dribbling ability can actually become a scorer or even a go to scorer. Just like how when Pop got Kawhi he showed him tapes of MJ, it wasn't "HE'S GOING TO BE MJ!" it was just a hey, this is how this guy did things, I think if you modeled your game more after him you might find more success, kind of thing. That's all. Giannis was brought up because of this idea that players can't improve and they are what they are. Giannis couldn't do half of the things he can do right now today. Rookie Giannis looked like a random NBA dude that could be out of the league in a few years. 3rd year Giannis looked like a very solid role player. Giannis was brought up to counter this idea that players can't improve. It's super sensible, they are all NBA players playing the same sport and in the same league. They are being brought up to counter clearly false claims that players can't do this or that or this and that. Dirk was a slow plodding white dude that couldn't dribble and just shot over guys. No revisionist history on his skills won't change that. He wasn't a playmaker, his defense was often suspect, and that's why he needed a good PG and Center to have good teams because he specialized so hard in one thing that it made him elite.
Decline FVV option Trade Dillon Brooks ($22.1M) Jock Landale ($8M) Cam Whitmore ($3.2M) S&T Jae'Sean Tate ($22.6M) [3 years, $68.8M] TOs on Years 2 & 3 #10 for KD
Check out the Jabari thread. He realizes he needs to work on ball handling and there is a video of him talking about it.
Move on? Move on to what? Re-signing Fred? Draft is still 5 days away. Free agency 11 days. Pacers saw their shadow so three more days minimum of Durant rumors/speculation/fake insiders. Keep calm. Browse responsibly.
Part of the reason his ball handling is so bad is because he plays very upright on offense, and moves that way generally, although he is effective while not elite defensively. I’m not sure how easy it is to change how he moves offensively AND improve his ability to dribble without turning it over.
[The Bill Simmons Podcast] Simmons on Durant to the Pistons possibility: "I guess Durant has already won some rings." Lowe "You guess? Burner account is gonna tweet something."
If KD becomes a Rocket, he's gonna have several burner accounts on Clutchfans and argue incessantly against anyone who says bad things about him.
Lol most Suns fans understand the team is cooked. You talk to any of them and majority of the radio guys here ( I live in PHX ) admit this isn’t on KD and he is still a top 15 player in the league. The fans want to start fresh. What’s next?
