Israel bombs a hospital, Iran bombs a hospital.
Israel bombs a TV station, Iran announces they are going to bomb a TV station. It’s like a game of HORSE. This conflict is turning kafkaesque.

I think Iran dgaf n would welcome anyone that would try to invade it.... As far as the nukes go, Pakistan said already that if Israel tries to nuke Iran, they'll nuke Israel. So thats off the table (it never was anyway ).

We want to drop a nuke on the country who wants the entire region to not have nukes at all but the country who stole nukes from us and has yet to officially declare they have nukes doesn't want to give up the nukes that they dont have.

I don't want to get dragged into this war.

However, I do agree with Trump saying 2 weeks.

    1. More time for Iran to capitulate. I don't think they will but every day Israel is hammering them.

    2. The longer we wait IF we do attack the less missiles and launchers Iran will have to retaliate against our personnel and interests. I'd rather the missiles be blown up by the Israeli military or launched at Israel than shot at our military and other interests in the region. Iran also has a lot more of the short range missiles that could target our bases in Iraq, Syria, and Kuwait.

Anyone who thinks we can just drop some bombs into the underground facilities and walk away is an idiot. They will retaliate. Might not be a military attack, but it could easily be a terrorist attack at an embassy or something else. You can't be kinda at war. It would become a massive campaign with multiple fronts. Iran would attack the Straight of Hormuz and the Houthis would have to be dealt with in a more significant way.

Oil prices would spike which means even more money for Putin and his war machine in Ukraine...

Well this is kinda ****ed. Despite the initial appearance of success of the Israeli opening shot, even Irans above ground nuclear site is still repairable.

    From Bloomberg:
Satellite images show atomic installations were only grazed after four days of bombardment. Damage to Iran’s central enrichment facility in Natanz, located 300 kilometers (186 miles) south of Tehran, is primarily limited to electricity switch yards and transformers, based on pictures from June 17. While those installations are critical, experts say they can be repaired within months.
“They did damage but left a lot intact,” said Robert Kelley, a former inspector at the International Atomic Energy Agency, or IAEA, who previously ran one of the US-government’s premier satellite imagery labs.
The images provided by US-based Planet Labs PBC and analyzed by Kelley underscore the wide margin of error confronting US military planners who are deciding whether to enter the conflict. Donald Trump’s spokeswoman said the president will decide within two weeks whether to strike Iran, while Israel continued to hit more Iranian nuclear sites.

Another fine piece by one of the great journalists of our time, Chris Hedges, who was also one of the most outspoken voices against our war w/ Iraq at the time.

    Snippet:

But this, perhaps, is the biggest lie. The intelligence assessments used to justify the war against Iraq were cooked up by a cabal of lunatic neoconservatives and rabid Zionists because they did not like the assessments of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other intelligence agencies. Now another cabal, dominated by Israel-firsters, is concocting bogus intelligence assessments to justify a war with Iran. These wars are not prosecuted in good faith. They are not based on a careful and rational assessment of verifiable intelligence. They are utopian visions severed from reality where our own intelligence agencies are ignored along with international bodies such as the United Nations, WMD inspectors or the IAEA.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned that Israel’s conflict with Iran and genocide in Gaza are “quickly reaching the point of no return”.

“This madness must end as soon as possible,” said Erdogan, warning the consequences could affect the region, Europe and Asia “for many years”.

“Israel complained about damage to its hospitals today, yet it has so far carried out over 700 attacks on healthcare facilities in Gaza alone,” he added during a speech to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s Youth Forum, as he reiterated his call for a ceasefire.
