A lot of fans forget that the number one goal of any franchise is to make money. All other goals are secondary.
I don't think we know who we are. I mean, we don't even know how to use the players we have around Sengun. We have no idea who we are on offense and we have a high potential draft pick in reed who we have no idea who he is and a #10 pick that is could be a complete bust or anything at this point. I don't think we are further along than them, the reason their season was the way it was is because Wemby got hurt, and so they rested Fox and tanked for a pick. Right now every team in the west is chasing OKC who are clearly above everyone, I think we are in that 2nd tier with a bunch of other teams. But here is the scary thing. So is San Antonio. Dallas will be tough. It would really suck to trade a young player only to watch them bloom somewhere else meanwhile we'll be having a clearly declining KD. I know it's not quite the same, since SGA showed potential on the Clippers, but they too made a win now move and ended up trading away an MVP player. Even if say Cam is TJ McConnel light we would regret that trade simply because we are only getting Durant for two years max and who knows when he'll fall off the cliff and just becomes washed.
He was playing for LA Tech at the same age. Karl Malone didn't have an efg% equal to Jabari last year until he was 26. Jabari out shot him from 2pt and 3pt % at a younger age. Rebounding was comparable. I don't recall him being a dominant inside player at all. He's best known for mid range jumpers.
Comparing Jabari and Jalen to Karl Malone is just crazy. This is the insane asylum part of the year in the GARM. Some segments of the fanbase embrace some really weird stuff defending their favorite players.
LOL welcome to Fantasy Island bro. The natives here will boil you alive if you don't think Amen is a future hall of famer. Watching Thunder/Pacers should be a wake up call. All of those guys can shoot from anywhere on the floor. I don't think either team would even play Amen.
Shooting isn't just three-pointers. Amen has improved his jump shot a lot. His 10-16 foot range went from 29 per cent in his rookie season to 49 per cent in his second season. As far as Jabari, he is very robotic; he doesn't change his shot in the air when challenged at the rim to try and avoid being blocked. By all reports, his focus in the off-season improvement is on his handle.
just said he’s buying stock if he ends up there. Later said Houston is his guess for KD but could be any of 8 teams.
Cap. The Pacers do have a bunch of guys who are shooting well in the playoffs, but some of their main guys like Haliburton, Mathurin, Toppin, Turner have shot terribly and McConnell has shot a good percentage but on really low volume. He's basically a non-shooter. And the Thunder are playing 5 guys who are shooting 30% or below and Hartenstein is a complete non shooter. And you don't think that either of these coaches are playing a guy who just made 1st team all defense and shot 50% from the field in the playoffs? Stop it.
Not totally cap, you need the shooting for the first 2 Playoff rounds when the opponent is not necessarily that strong other than Nuggets etc...... To get to the Finals you need shooting, it is a slug fest from there. The Thunder are dominant enough to withstand their pathetic shooting outside the Pacers series but when they are on, they blow out teams by 40 or 50.
The Pacers are a win away from a chip. I don't want to hear a single solitary comment about how Durant makes no sense because we aren't close to a title.
